Hello 🙋🏽‍♀️👋🏽 I’m Monique and I’m from Perth. TLDR: I’ve got many skills that I want to hone in on. I feel my calling is coaching and creation. I want to integrate my gardening and healing. I’m feeling like a Jill of all trades, master of none. I’m; A mother A beauty therapist/ Nail technician A gardener An intuitive reader An energy and crystal healer An artist I thought beauty therapy was my calling at the ripe age of 15 😅 I created a mildly successful home salon that I ended up closing over Covid. It was many years of my youth spent. The lockdowns forced me to realise I was working and going no where. 15 years is a LONG time to be in the exact same position. I was doing something I felt I had to because I’d spent time training for it. My mindset was ‘don’t waste your trade’ but instead wasted time and energy in the wrong field. I say ‘wasted’ as that’s how it felt at the time. Hindsight shows me it was time learning. It’s only wasted if I don’t learn from that time. 2020 brought me back down to Earth. Literally and figuratively. I’d not felt that grounded and free since I was a child! It unlocked a whole new drive and career passion. I wanted to work with the Earth, with nature and natural flow. I moved on to gardening at the end of 2020. Working under the thumb of someone else was hard, but allowed me to learn how to eventually lead. Quickly I became team leader and worked my way up the ranks. My teammates often commented that I should buy the franchise and take it further. But it felt like I jumped too high and hit the ceiling. I needed to breakthrough. I wanted something of my OWN though. Self sabotage has been my biggest dream killer. Ending countless projects before they’ve even begun. So 2024 I applied for a solo gardening position through the dept of education. It allowed me to work solo, create and execute my plans, accumulate leave and more importantly, force me to stand on my own decisions. It was still a safety net though. I left the franchise and started my own business on the side of my new job. Big clients and companies were suddenly calling. I was freaking out and letting opportunities slide away.
