Thoughtful Quote:
“The quieter you become, the more you can hear.” - Ram Dass Sometimes the answers that we're looking for are hard to hear over the noise of rushing, reacting, and filling every moment. When things are quiet, we can truly notice what’s been there all along... a thought we’ve been avoiding, a truth we already know, or a small nudge about the direction we want to go. I often sit on my deck and look up at the tall trees and reflect, plan, or am intentionally still. My best ideas show up in moments like that. How about you?

I like it very quiet, but with a big family the quiet moments are rare 😂
Happy Saturday and a WARM welcome to:
@Susan Fewell @Eileen D. @Cathy Howe @Jill Baillargeon @Beverly Conquest @Monika Lenauer @Darleen Carty. I'd love to personally learn a bit about each of you - if you're comfortable, please let me know a little bit about you.

@Beverly Conquest Thank you so much!!! When I was young eyerybody always thought that I’m much younger than I actually was and I have never felt taken seriously. For a very very long time!! At least until 40 or even 45 … Now it turned out to be a present 😇 - but I still have sometimes this feeling inside of not been taken seriously (because it happened so often … and the feeling is so internalised like being a part of my intrinsic nature). BUT: I try to work on that …

@Jessica Borum We will see. Thankfully he loves DIY and we have so many DIY projects we would like to implement in our house in the countryside an he can’t wait being retired. He also looks forward to having more time for family and hopefully travelling 😂 We will see …. I’ll keep you informed
Do you over-commit?
Good Morning and Happy Wednesday everyone. Do any of you feel like you've ever committed to something that's turning out to be too time consuming but now that you're in it....you have to finish it, because "that's who you are," or "what would it say about ME if I didn't see this through to completion?" If so, what's your process? When this happens with me I don't typically feel resentment, but I do massively deplete and find myself exhausted. How do you handle things like this - or are you able to recognize it beforehand?

@Kathy Karner I really like your gold questions!! I‘m in a hospice training at the moment and I must say that for me it’s the best course I‘ve ever subscribed in besides my training in vedic philosophy (vedic astrology, ayurveda, vastu and yoga). After overcoming cancer 10 years ago (I’m really so thankful for that - it told me how worthy life is and what is important in life and what isn’t) and in dealing with transience of life my perspective shifted so much. I try to slow down, live more consciously (it’s not always easy since my life is quite busy most time), try not to get too nervous and personally touched by conflicts ( - also very difficult for me! I’m hypersensitive and my nervous system tends to produce fear and anxiety) - it’s a challenge for me - BUT I know it sounds ridiculous - THE MORE I AM DEALING WITH DEATH AND BEING INFORMED THE BETTER I FEEL AND THE BETTER I CAN ENJOY LIFE!! Facing the inevitable truth that everything is transient in life and we just really don’t know when it ends, helps me enjoying the life that happens NOW much more. Being thankful every evening about the day I had and thanking in the morning about the chance for another day…. Saying NO to many things is so important while saying YES to oneself!! There is so much more to say….. I have to stop now. Till next time:-))
