I wish the hobby plan included the meta pixel plugin
Admittedly, this post is just to vent, but might give me the courage to go all in on Skool and cancel my Kajabi plan. I had planned to grow my community here on Skool, and decided to join because for the low barrier to entry (the hobby plan). I thought, I can afford to run ads if my community is only costing me $9 a month and then once I have some MRR, I will upgrade my account... But... I cannot add the meta pixel plugin on the hobby account which I originally didn't realise. My plan was to run the ads directly to the about page. I'm already on Kajabi, which I've had for years and currently hosts my courses, my email list, website and podcast. So a full migration means more systems and new tech... And ontop of that, if I upgraded here, $99 a month plan would make my overheads very expensive right now, especially considering I'm not monetising my community and support right now. It feels like a risk to migrate everything over to Skool, and other platforms for email/podcast just to afford the meta pixel plugin. So my question is, if anyone has done this, was it worth it? Or has anyone run ads to a landing page that then opens into the Skool community (this is the only other workaround but adds an additional layer for the people entering the community from ads).

Just run it to a landing page. And on the thank you page put the “lead” pixel with a button inviting them to SKool. It’s the only workaround. And what people were doing before the pixel was added a few months ago

@Pali Dhamret I don’t see why that would be a turn off. A lot of people still have no idea what skool is. So they wouldn’t necessarily be aware that there is an extra step. When I used to build Facebook groups, that’s what I did and no one ever mentioned that there was another step. Try not to over think this too much. You got this!
No one talks about this side of solo work
No one talks about how lonely solo work can get sometimes. Like yeah, freedom’s nice but some days it’s just you, your desk, and silence How do you stay connected or keep your energy up when working alone?

Soo two ways. For business, I have a biz accountability buddy. She’s the person I can vent to and we are constantly bouncing ideas off of each other and sharing what works without paying for coaching. When she’s having a down day, I speak life into her. And when I’m having a down day, she speaks life into me. But more importantly. I’m realizing community is so important. Community outside of business. I have a group of friends where we commit to meet once a week for happy hour and just connect (no biz talk) we are all in different Industries. Sometimes when you don’t have community, you have to be very intentional about creating it, trying different events, follow up, and staying engaged. It can be hard. But this is what will carry you in those dark lonely moments. Lastly I just try to make time to play or do things to decompress. Play music, watching my favorite movie. Looking at comedies. Things that lighten the mood can take you out of that loneliness feel. But mainly I would prioritize the first and second points above.
Deciding to Turn a Free Community Paid
Hi there, I don't currently have a community. But I'm thinking of starting with a free one, where everyone would get access to free trainings and resources. I'm wondering what would happen, if I decided to make it paid in the future, and have updated trainings. Would everyone who is currently free just get unlimited free things for the rest of their lives, or would I need to create a separate community for the paid community. I hope this makes sense.
