Calvin Hollywood is doing an event in Brighton ๐ฅณ If you know a good spot or know someone that knows a good spot, I'd love to know! PS Drop some thoughts on what makes a good even location either way :)
@Jenna Ostrye @Artin Asghari , here is my two cents... I believe a good event location needs to feel like an experience. If it's a restaurant, does it have something special that people are not used to (like a brazilian steakhouse or a beautiful patio with a view..) If it's an outdoor space, is there anything special you can do with your people (like the bubbles in Grenoble or watching the sunset on the ocean, etc...) If it's a venue, is there anything that can help create a special moment like a fire pit to make smore's, a large table to do a craft station or a basketball court to play together. I really think that people need to experience something special together to bond. Yes a potluch at someone's place is better than no IRL at all but living something special together is next level.
@Artin Asghari This place looks sooooo awesome! One thing you want to be careful with though is how noisy it is. If you want people to be able to connect and talk, a pub with loud music may not be the best. But you can have 2 venues if you really want a more "networking" time and a fun time.
I'm gonna Backpack across Europe, but this community is bigger then my own journey, this community is here for you to: - Keep contact with people - Know exactly what's happening where! - Learning how to run your own IRL events Next steps: 1. Drop where you live (in a non creepy way) 2. Go here to understand exactly how this place works.
