Reflect: Embody Confidence
Which of the confidence pillars feels strongest for you right now? Which one do you want to strengthen next — and what’s one concrete action you can take this week to do it?

I think the "Core network" might be my strongest at the moment since I've casted quite a large net already and have narrowed down a good group of people that I know I can reach out to for help. I think I struggle with "Knowing your specialty" a little right now since I have a little experience in many different things. Additionally, the most recent experience I have, which I could use as my "specialty," isn't exactly what I want to work in. So I need to figure out how to make what I'm interested in my specialty.
Reflect: Meet One Goal at a Time
Take a minute, reflect, and decide which single goal you’re optimizing for during this process: pay, location, lack of competition, or ease of interview. Write out what decisions you’ll make in your job search that reflect that priority. Keep it short and clear (2–3 bullet points).

I'm currently looking for work after I was laid off from my last position so I definitely want to find work fast. Although, I still have a semester left in my Masters, I would still prefer to land something ASAP. As a result, I will be focusing primarily on lack of competition and ease of interview, with the tactics this lesson suggested. Pay is not the top priority for me and I am open relocating anywhere in Canada or the US
Reflect: Find Your Affinities
Find and join one WhatsApp tech affinity group that connects with your background or goals. Share which one you joined — include a short note about what drew you to it or why it is relevant to you.

I joined 2 WhatsApp groups. One that aligns with my religious values and one that's for people in tech in my area of Toronto. I especially think the second one will be nice since they host meetups as well
Reflect: Specialize
Write down 3–5 things that describe how you create value — not technologies, but traits or patterns of impact. “The themes that define my specialization are ___.” It doesn’t have to be perfect — this is about clarity, not branding.

The themes that define my specialization are: 1. Focus on attention to detail. If there's a problem, no matter how small, I can never bring myself to rest until I've found a way to fix it. 2. Making my fellow coworkers lives easier. Whether it be through reusable code, automation, or even documentation 3. Always looking for new innovations. Whenever I see a scenario or opportunity to start a new initiative, I immediately jump on it and love to research cool solutions
Reflect: Sell Your Results
Take a few minutes to reflect on your experiences from a results perspective. Build off of “One example of a result my work has created is ___.” Don’t worry about making it perfect — just start connecting your code to outcomes.

One example of a result my work has created is boosting test automation efficiency by 20% by converting the test scripts from LoadRunner in C to Selenium in Java.
