Hey everyone, Mohammad Anas here 👋 Joined yesterday, wanted to introduce myself properly. Quick background I've been doing dropshipping for the past year, did around €1M+ in sales and made solid profits from it. But honestly the best part wasn't the money. It was the skills I picked up and the people I networked with along the way. Built real friendships in the game, travelled together to Bali, Saudi Arabia, China. That stuff meant way more to me than any revenue number. Recently I shut down all my stores and let go of my team of 10+ people. Not because ecom is dying it's not. But there's a short story that's been stuck in my head lately, let me share it 👇 A young man goes to an old woodcutter asking for work. Old man says sure, start tomorrow. Day 1 — the guy puts in everything he has and chops down 10 trees. 🪓 Day 2 — same effort, maybe more. Only 8 trees. Weeks go by. Eventually he's struggling to cut 5 trees a day with the same energy he started with. Frustrated, he walks up to the old man: "I don't get it. I'm working harder than ever. Why am I getting less done?" Old man smiles. "When was the last time you sharpened your axe?" That hit me hard. The axe is your knowledge. You can keep swinging with the same skills for another year and watch your output slowly drop or you can stop, sharpen up, and come back stronger. AI is the sharpening stone right now. The internet made a generation of millionaires and AI is the same kind of wave now even bigger. And if I'm going to ride it, I want to learn from the best in the game & connect with right people in the space. When I go back to ecom, AI automation will be my edge. That's the plan. One thing I learned early on when me and my friends started ecom, we were on calls 9-10 hours a day. Brainstorming, sharing wins, calling out each other's mistakes. Nobody made it alone. That circle was everything. That's really why I'm here. Looking to meet people serious about this, build genuine friendships, and grow together.
