Smoothest A380 landing you can get 😜 Followed by some heavy braking and full reverse thrust (I think) to make the K8 high speed exit out of Dubai’s 30L
We’ve all had one. The flare that wasn’t, the bounce that became three bounces, or the sim landing that would’ve closed the runway for a week. Share your horror stories—bonus points if there’s video evidence.
A359 landing in EDI in quite some windy conditions, approach was going well until I found myself floating towards the end of the touchdown zone, definitely need to work on my flare and de-crabbing technique with the A350. Im open to hearing any advice🙈
@James Power Thank you so much for the advice, however I do have a follow up question, If the downwind drift starts at flare altitude which would also be the point where a de-crab maneuver would commence, will the priority be restoring the aircraft to its lateral path by banking, or simultaneously banking and de-crabbing to restore both lateral path and aligning the nose with the centerline at the same time? …Or maybe Go Around 😜
@James Power Would that be a 24 or 48 hour layover for you guys? From my last trip which consisted of both Sydney and Melbourne, Melbourne definitely wins on the coffee, if anything I barely found any coffee shops in Sydney, or I just didn’t spend much effort looking for any😅
@James Power Seems like you're a passionate Boeing hater😂😂😂. About the A380, haven't flown it in a good while so I can't really say, been favoring the A350 lately due to inibuilds higher level of fidelity over fbw, inibuilds do happen to be working on an A380 as we speak so definitely looking forward to that, but back to topic, I'd be more than happy to see if I have that same bug on my side, probably by next weekend as I would be busy with school now that Its back😒
