*Why salad dressing is funny? I don't know, but I guess it's funny because he brought up something that doesn't belong in that context. -Technically, as an ex-electrician. *Turn down which means to use a knob to reduce the brightness of a lamp. *Turn off which means to switch off the power of a lamp. •In the scene, she actually clicked a switch which turned off the lamp. So, I assumed “turn off” would be the right choice. <My understanding of the context>: Organization = describes men in the dating world as members of an organization trying to attract women. A man = describes a man as an employee of that organization whose job is to attract women. The situation = describes attracting women as a job / challenge that needs to be dealt with by the organization. We have a lot of areas to cover = means that women are everywhere, so the organization sends men to different places to attract/ date them.

EVC: ( I've lost my touch with writing!) Three days ago, I went out to run some errands when my mom called and asked me to pick something up from the grocery store. So, I headed to the grocery store to buy the item she needed. While I was there, I headed to the dessert section to see what was new, and I noticed some Turkish baklava. I asked the person behind the counter if I could have a taste of a few different kinds of baklava. I ended up buying two boxes of baklava with a side of vanilla ice cream. Then, I headed to the checkout, but I was surprised to find long lines of people with shopping carts packed with groceries. I waited in line until it was my turn, paid for everything and headed out toward the exit. Just as I was walking out, I realized I had forgot to buy the item my mom had asked for! I couldn't believe I had managed to forget the very thing I had gone there to get! What a drag!

I wrote a few things that need clarification. I also caught a missing word and an added one.

1. What is SNL dt th, and what is a flap t, ghost t , Stop t and true t? 2. My guess for the meaning of the expression “What a world that would be if you could just ask a woman what she’s thinking” = he is saying that it would be an amazing world if you could ask a woman what she’s thinking and get a clear and honest answer. But that’s not the case, and I totally agree with him. LOL. 3. My wild and crazy guess: “Pick up on” is used when you notice and understand something indirectly. “Pick up” means to collect and try to understand. I hope my guess is correct. 4. Why doesn’t Jerry say “A shake is bad”? I think George was giving general info “A shake is bad” and Jerry replied as a way of confirming and agreeing with George’s statement, but also expressing doubt that all types of shakes are bad. (I could be wrong though) 5. Sometimes I find it difficult to produce the TH sound when S comes before it, especially when I speak faster, like in “She’s the best” and “He’s thinking” I have also noticed that you don’t bring your tongue out when producing the TH sound in “the” but I assume that you make the tip of your tongue touch the front teeth from behind, right? 6. what are the cancellation rules I’m just curious to know? 7. Do you recommend that I take PIRF classes?
