Public vs Private community
I'd like my community to be public, but I don't necessarily want non-members to see the content of our discussions without first joining (it's a freemium group). Is there an argument for either side? And please share what your community's set to, if you have one. Thanks

My understanding is that everything in the Community tab (which is where discussions are) is readable by anyone whether they have joined or not when your group is set to Public. In fact, I am planning a Public community so that content I add will get indexed by search engines and help people to find my community. Then if they want to benefit from being able to comment, ask questions, etc. they would need to join. Since the group will be Public, I will make it clear that there is no expectation of privacy in the discussions. What are you hoping to accomplish by making your community Public vs. it being a Private freemium group?
🦃 BUILD A TURKEY DINNER TO LEVEL UP 🍽️ (ALL LEVELS WELCOME!)
Let’s see how big we can build our community turkey dinner. 👀 Step 1: Add something to the dinner by dropping a 🍗🥔🥣🌽🥧 or dinner GIF in the comments. Step 2: Visit 3 other members’ dinners and add something to theirs by replying with a food emoji or GIF. Step 3: Every like + reply helps your dinner grow (aka helps you level up)! 🍴✨ More interaction = a bigger dinner. 😉 Grab your favourite dinner emoji and start building! 🦃🥧🍂

Business card question
Has anyone used business cards before? I am thinking because of what my community represents sending a few cards out to preschools and other sources with young children could help in marketing my community.

@Deb Spotleson or flyers? Maybe check around to find out whether they are open to displaying/distributing your material before investing too much in creating physical promotional materials. Also look for places like the public library, rec centers, houses of worship that might have community bulletin boards.
Wow! Did you watch Skool News this week 💥 GROWTH BOOST
I had to watch it three times to capture all the juicy bits of info on how to make Growth Boost effective for your community. Better yet, I put together this Field Guide App to help digest all the details, and play around with various scenarios. I decided to share this with our Premium and VIP members, as well as members at Level 4 (yes a big push for some of you to get there...but it will be worth it!!) Feel free to test it out (and know that not all of the calculations will be accurate to Skool's formula): - Level 4+ members go here - Premium & VIP members go here

Smalltalk (Level up)
I'm not a fan of leveling up by force (farming). Nevertheless, I want to give everyone here the opportunity to level up (you'll keep the level later) and at the same time get to know each other better. So I'm opening a "small talk chat" for a few days. Post your thoughts to me and let's get to know each other a little better. What's going through your mind right now?

@Sky W I also wonder about affordability of our offers. I hear and understand all the talk that price should reflect our true value and that people should increase their prices but I think sometimes, at least in some niches, affordability=access. As for pay what you can (PWYC), I'm curious how it plays out in practice. I've seen offers where you can pay $0, others at least $1 and others that set an actual "base" price but people can voluntarily pay more..
