Would you like a training on creating Skills?
Yesterday I was looking for a newsletter writer skill, and I realized I didn't have one. I immediately went into "should I build it myself, or should I buy one already created?" mode. I ended up spending the time to create my own ~ based exactly on my brand colors, my design, and everything I wanted for a newsletter outline. Here's why I went that route instead of buying one: There are a lot of generic skills on the market. And a good skill should need customization from you anyway. So if I was going to spend the time customizing somebody else's ~ I might as well just build my own. {Which is exactly what I did.} Creating skills is not difficult. It just takes a little patience and some testing. So I'm wondering if you'd like a training on how to build your own? Drop a 🙋‍♀️ below and tell me what type of Skill you'd want!

Yes, definitely want to learn more about skills. I appreciate that you said you might as well create your own rather than customize one from someone else. I'm at the point of trying to understand when to move from context files in a Claude project to creating skills.
Would you come to {free} live AI-related trainings?🤷‍♀️
I'm dreaming up a new lead-generation and conversion strategy that is more fun and informal -- less stress, low-lift, less prep time, no big slide presentation.🙊) ( 𝐈'𝐦 𝐬𝐨 𝐅'𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 & 𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒 & 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒 - 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭!) And things are moving fast and I want to get out of "waiting for launch time" to provide value and share my offer... Some of the topics I'm thinking sharing are: - The 3 Things Your Claude Account Needs - How to create your Kit/Email MCP Skill - My simple customized Obsidian setup Some of the training recordings I'd share on YT... Some would live only in my paid group (so if you miss the live, you miss the training unless you're in my Scale Without Hiring group.) Thoughts? Ideas? and please weigh in on the poll.

@Dr E'Lise Christensen same! I find it's best to attend live when I can to just listen and then watch replay to review details or if I couldn't make the live event due to conflict.

Great topics @Wendy Breakstone . I was just on the Obsidian training and looking forward to the 3 Things Your Claude Needs which you mentioned at the end of today's Zoom.
New Training: Obsidian 101 Setup - Thursday, July 2nd 11am PT
A few months ago, I made it my mission to obsessively deep-dive into learning Obsidian. And I ended up creating a very light-weight, low-lift setup that everyone can setup (for free) regardless of the main knowledge/documentatoin management system you use. (That means whether you use Notion, Evernote, Airtable, Asana, Google Drive, Apple Notes, etc., you'll want Obsidian.) Mark Your Calendar for this Thursday, July 2nd at 11am PT / 2pm ET. SAVE YOUR SEAT👉 I'm going to walk through my Simple Obsidian Setup (the basics) and show you: 1. Why Obsidian is a great solution for both document management and Claude 2. How to setup your Obsidian to talk to Claude 3. How I set up themes and colors 4. Which plugins I use (because there are thousands to choose from) REGISTER HERE 👉 Note: I'm going to run this as a "webinar" because I don't know if 5 or 500 people will attend. If it goes half way decent, I'll be doing more of these types of live trainings every few weeks!

Thanks for doing this session @Wendy Breakstone. ChatGPT had suggested using Obsidian as an option for my markdown files a few months ago but at that time, I decided not to go down the rabbit hole of learning it's complexities. But after being on this Zoom with you, I feel like it's definitely worth using even if one is not looking to set it up as a "second brain".
