my first AI podcast 👀
Today I’m super stoked to announce my first-ever podcast appearance.👀 (& it’s on the Calum Johnson show!) You can watch it here 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yt_BULiimg4 I’ve never been asked to do a legit podcast before, so this was a huge honor for me & I was def a bit nervous 😅 Calum was an amazing host & he did such a good job simplifying what I had to share and making it super valuable imo We covered stuff like: - how to become valuable in the new AI era - some game-breaking new AI learning prompts I’ve been developing - how to create your first AI build in 10 mins. - & soo much more I’m so excited it’s finally live, and I hope it gives you an entirely new perspective on AI & how to implement it in your life and business. As always, if you have any Q’s lmk below this post 🙏🏽

Well done, Kj. First podcast, and on the Calum Johnson show. That's a big one. I'll be honest, I wanted to say thank you properly. Your system has changed my life for the better. Since my stroke I've had a lot of setbacks. Speech. Walking. Starting over. For a long time I didn't know what I could still do. Your community gave me somewhere to start, and a reason to keep going. For me, this isn't just about AI. It's about building things again, and hopefully helping other people who've been where I am. So thank you.
A duplicate receipt is not a second expense — separate a request from an instruction
A no-code exercise: submit a fictional receipt twice, once as a photo and once as a PDF. Filename matching misses the duplicate. When evaluating OpenClaw, I would compare merchant, date, amount and reference, then leave ambiguous matches for review. Similar totals alone would not justify discarding a legitimate expense. Present the sample as a customer request, then as an owner instruction. Discuss whether the source changes what the operator may do. Which receipt field would you trust most for a duplicate check? What would that additional check change in your decision?

Good exercise, Duy. For me, the receipt or transaction number is the one to trust most. Merchant, date and amount can all match on two real expenses. Two coffees at the same café on the same morning look identical. But the transaction number is only printed once. Same number means the same receipt, whether it came in as a photo or a PDF. That extra check changes the decision from “maybe a duplicate” to “definitely a duplicate”. If the numbers match, flag it. If they’re different, it’s two real expenses, even if everything else looks the same. If there’s no number at all, that’s when it goes to a person to check. Back in the trades, I’d get two invoices from the same supplier for the same amount. The invoice number was always what told me whether I’d been billed twice or ordered twice. On the request versus instruction point, I agree. A customer saying “remove this one” should go for review. Only the owner should be able to tell it to actually delete something.
Hello!!
Hello! I am excited to learn and put these skills to use!!!

Welcome, Ena. Good to have you here. What’s the first thing you’d like to use AI for? Work, your own business, or something else? People in here are really helpful once they know what you’re working on.
Why I'm building a way to talk to computers without speaking
Right, I want to tell you why I'm building a silent-speech app, because it's personal. About 14 years ago I had a stroke. It affected my right side. I walk with a stick now, and speaking is hard for me. I'm also dyslexic, so typing isn't always easy either. Think about it this way: most people talk to AI by typing or by voice. If both of those are hard work, you miss out on a lot of what AI can do. So I started wondering. What if the computer could just read your lips, with no sound at all? I'll be honest, I don't know yet if it'll work for everyone. Everyone's mouth moves a bit differently, so I'm training it on my own face first. So far it's recognised short phrases like "What's the time" and sent them straight to Claude. It's early days. But for the first time in a long time, I'm building something instead of watching other people do it. If you know someone who finds speaking or typing hard, I'd love to hear what would actually help them. If not, no worries at all. Thanks for reading.

@Bob Stawicki Thanks Bob, I appreciate that. It’s slow going, but every bit of feedback in here is helping me work out what to build next. I’ll post an update once I’ve tested it on a real message.

@Kalle Ped Thanks Kalle. I know Be My Eyes, they connect blind and low-vision people with volunteers over video, and now with AI too. Different problem to mine, but a lot to learn from how they built it around real users. Yes, an introduction would be great, thank you. I’d love to hear how they started and what they learned early on. No rush at all.
What's up everybody!
Thomas here originally from Czech Republic, now in Thailand (but soon coming back). Have been using AI a bunch to help me make some more money 👌 Gotta say I really like the mission of this being only actually useful advice. Often I find that the tricks are cool but the ROI is not there in setting them up. Excited to be here! Where are y'all from?

Hi Thomas, I'm from the UK. Good to have you here. Agree with you on the ROI bit. Some AI tricks look clever but take longer to set up than they save. I'd rather have one thing that works every week than ten clever tricks. What's the one AI tool that's actually made you money so far?

@Thomas Dvorak Chrome extensions is a good shout. I hadn't thought of that. For me it's Claude. I'll be honest, it hasn't made me money yet, but it saves me loads of time. I use it with Glasp to turn long YouTube videos into proper notes. Not just a summary. The useful bits, laid out so I can find them fast. It's also writing most of the code for my silent-speech app, which I couldn't have done on my own.
