Wire Bending Frames for Carnival Backpacks
Not the prettiest process but it's the process for all carnival costume backpacks and headpieces. This is the cheapest way to do it. Nothing Premade. Nothing outsourced. Just wire and a vision to create the perfect frame for my carnival backpack. Watching raw materials turn into something functional never gets old. This frame I made is ready for its design phase. This is only the beginning of watching me create a full costume from scratch

The wire I used was a 14 gauge. I prefer a 12 gauge, but they were out of that.

What’s ONE thing you learned the hard way Wings + Backpacks + Balance + Weight + Comfort I learned the hard way that you can't make your backpack too big, My first lesson in making costumes was designing too big and not planning how to get the huge piece to the venue. I made wings and they were not only too big but too heavy as well. Since then, I've learned to build smarter. Your backpacks should be lightweight and capable of being broken down into smaller pieces for travel. What's the tip you live by? Drop your tip. Your story could save someone's day.

Hi everyone. I want to talk about how quiet it is over here. Many of you have joined but have not engaged at all so the question really is why you are here? What are you looking to get out of this community? I'd love to hear from you guys so please chime in? What do you want to learn from this community? I need to know because I need some interaction

@Cris Wright That's a good thing either way. People love to learn. Its a valuable asset. I asked about selling them because people never really think to reach out to dance studios, schools and even moms around Halloween time are always looking to buy costumes from places other than the store
