Please Welcome Donna Williams
Team — I want to introduce someone stepping into a key role in what we’re building. Please welcome @Donna Williams, who will lead our Grants Department and help align the mission across all of our organizations. This is a big move for us. There are significant philanthropic resources available for the kind of work we do — recovery, coaching, education, and restoration. Donna’s role is to help us connect our mission to those resources, so we can grow, scale, and reach more people. Donna brings serious real-world experience — building and scaling businesses, leading teams, and turning systems into something stronger than before. More importantly, her mission aligns with ours. She’s focused on:• Serving underserved youth• Supporting veterans• Strengthening communities• Bringing resources where they’re needed most. Different lanes… same mission: Find the gap and fill it. You’ll see her stepping into conversations and helping shape where we’re going next. Let’s make her feel welcome. Drop a welcome below and share one thing you’re working on that connects to our mission.
Please Welcome Donna Williams

The Wake-Up Moment - “It’s Not Too Late”
A few years ago I had a moment that forced me to rethink everything. After my strokes, I had to face a hard truth: I wasn’t as prepared for the future as I thought I was. That realization was uncomfortable. But something interesting happens when life backs us into a corner. I realized that , "Desperation Creates Its Own Momentum". When you realize something has to change, something inside you wakes up. You start asking different questions. You start looking for answers you might have ignored before. That moment became a wake-up call for me. Not a moment of defeat — but a moment of clarity. Sometimes the hardest moments in life become the starting point for rebuilding. That’s why Only A Lion Understands a Lion through Hope2Heal exists. Because the truth is: It’s not too late - you're just in time. I’d love to hear from you this morning. What was a moment in your life when you realized something had to change?

My wake up moment was when I was in the hospital and they told me I was a week away from dying.

Recovery insight…
Recovery Insight: One thing people misunderstand about addiction is that it's not just about substances, it's about coping, trauma, and survival. Recovery means learning new ways to handle life without escaping it. What's one healthy coping skill that helps you today?

Talking to someone. Knowing im not alone in this!!
Friction isn’t your enemy — it’s your process.
A gem isn’t born shining. It's shaped… pressured… refined. Friction isn’t your enemy — it’s your process. Every setback, every hard conversation, every moment you wanted to quit…that’s the pressure forming something most people will never become. Not everyone can handle the weight it takes to become valuable. That’s why not everyone becomes one. But you’re here. And that says something. So don’t run from the pressure…lean into it. Because only a lion understands what it takes to become one. Please share how this relates to your lived experience, and how you can use it to shine like the gem you are.
