I know Shabbos Chanukah can come with a whole bunch of stress, family stuff and trying to make a good impression and over stimulation….so let me tell you a simple trick that will make a huge difference. DECISION: Decide right now what you want and how you want it to turn out INTENTION: Set an intention, say I intend to….cuz. For me it’s “I intend to deeply enjoy this weekend, I intend to take breaks and get some quiet whenever I want or need, and to pay attention to my limits and respect my needs, I intend to enjoy the people I get to be with and I intend to be grateful for all the love no matter what form it comes in 😅 I intend to feel into the Bracha and kedusha surrounding me and to let go of anything that doesn’t fill me up with happiness and I INTEND TO LAUGH AND HAVE FUN!” DECLARATION: Say it out loud, with passion and strength and when you finish say THIS IS MY CHOICE AND THAT IS MY DECLARATION!!!
