My name is Miki and I actually haven’t been behind the chair for 6 years, I quit doing hair when Covid hit. I was at a corporate barbershop, burned out, and my elbow was going out thanks to a fun case of tendinitis. I want to get back behind the chair, but doing it the right way, no corporate salons, curating my clients, and only doing haircuts which are my passion. I have a hare brained scheme to do this that involves a part time job, renting my own suite, and hitting the ground running. Starting from square zero with no clients and delusional dreams of my dream work life and space is terrifying, but I trust in my skill and ability to make people feel good with my cuts. I’m here to build my skills even further and feed my delusions 🤣🤣 but seriously I have always needed the why to understand what I’m doing and it’s so hard to find it in hair education…or at least it was when I was behind the chair.
