@Almerinda Alves van der Giezen Here is what is contained in the classroom introduction that is locked behind the paywall. You being a tiered member should not have to pay. Photograph a place that feels like home to you. Consider what details help tell the story of why this place matters. How to Participate 1. Read the daily prompt. 2. Create a photograph inspired by that prompt. 3. Post your image in the "Post 365 Images Here" area. 4. Include a brief description of the story behind your photograph. 5. Engage with other members by offering encouragement and thoughtful feedback. Suggested Post Format 1. Year, Prompt Number, and Title 2. Your Photograph 3. The Story (1–3 sentences describing the story you are trying to tell.) - Optional Feedback Request (What would you like others to comment on?) - The Four Principles of Visual Storytelling As you work through the challenge, keep these four principles in mind: - Subject What is this photograph really about? - Emotion What feeling or response do you want the viewer to experience? - Context What clues help the viewer understand the story? - Intent Why did you choose this moment, composition, light, or perspective? There are no perfect answers. The goal is simply to become more intentional in the way you see and communicate. A Few Things to Remember - Not every story requires people. - Not every story requires a dramatic event. - Often the most powerful stories are found in ordinary places, everyday routines, familiar objects, and quiet moments. Some days you may photograph something profound. On other days, you may photograph something simple. Both are valuable. The challenge is not about completing 365 perfect photographs. The challenge is about developing the habit of seeing stories everywhere. By the end of the year, you will have created a body of work that reflects not only what you photographed, but how you learned to observe, interpret, and connect with the world around you.
