Mischa's point is correct -- DevOps skills are no longer a specialization. DevOps is a mature-enough domain that it's expected that those in many other engineering specializations (software engineer, site reliability engineer) will have those skills already. Essentially this is raising the baseline requirements for engineers, all due to the fact that DevOps infra (containers++) is becoming ubiquitous across companies of all scales. All the more reason to get up to speed on your own capabilities now.
🚀 Breaking into DevOps: What's your biggest roadblock?
Whether you're transitioning from another tech role or entering the industry fresh, what's the #1 obstacle standing between you and your DevOps career? Is it a specific technical skill? Understanding the job market? Knowing where to focus your learning? Share your challenge below - sometimes just putting it into words can help clarify your next steps!

@Romain DeTroyes At the risk of discussing solutions when the prompt was about identifying problems, I did want to point out one aspect of the solution to people problems in general. From Covey's 7 Habits: "First seek to understand, then to be understood." People will generally resist your suggestions of change regardless of the situation. But things become much easier if you first demonstrate that you really understand their position. Explaining the benefits of your suggestion is important, but you need to get the listener to be open to hearing it first. If they feel understood, they will be less defensive about their position.
