A $20 Billion AI Hedge Fund Just Blew Up
Market ripped 3.3% today on genuinely great Microsoft earnings (they confirmed demand is broad, not just AI labs). But the wild, exaggerated moves in $NBIS $IREN $SNDK today came from something else entirely: a $20B leveraged AI hedge fund got margin-called and dumped its ENTIRE portfolio in one block trade before the open. Real talk: I called the "gap and grind" pain trade correctly yesterday and then still didn't execute on it myself, sat waiting for a perfect entry price on NBIS and INTC that never came. Lesson for day traders: when moves are happening fast, scale in (take a lot, add on the dip, add again) instead of waiting for the perfect single price. The bigger lesson from today: that fund was up 400%+ through June. One bad month with heavy leverage wiped it out completely. Position sizing isn't boring, it's survival. Full breakdown + watchlist ($FCEL $AAOI $IREN $SNOW $DDOG $CRWD): https://thebullsheet00.substack.com/p/a-20-billion-ai-hedge-fund-just-blew Did you catch today's rip or get stuck waiting for a dip like I did?

Stuck waiting for it. 😭
SanDisk Crashed 12% — The Liquidity Lesson
Market looked calm today (-0.3%), but it was actually a 2.5% top-to-bottom swing underneath. Another sucker's gap failed right on schedule. The big story: $SNDK crashed 11-12% after a Chinese memory maker (CXMT) IPO'd in Shanghai this morning and surged to a ~$487B valuation, reigniting China-competition fears in memory pricing. Today's issue has a real lesson worth internalizing: a "hot" sector can look great on a chart and still be untradable if the volume isn't there. I checked staffing services today (a top-ranked momentum sector) and most of the names traded under 400K shares a day, basically decorative. Better to short a big, liquid, ugly name like SanDisk (14%+ ATR) than chase a hot sector you can't actually get size in. Full watchlist + the liquidity lesson: https://thebullsheet00.substack.com/p/sandisk-just-crashed-12-on-a-chinese Question for the room: do you check volume before falling for a chart, or has an illiquid "hot" name ever burned you?

I always check volume. If it is under 750k to a million I don’t mess with it and yes I have been burned. Hopefully never again. 😊

Perfect day. 4 trades, 4 wins, 0 losses. The OpenAI news dropped — they admitted $20B revenue vs $1.5T in commitments. Semis got smoked. SMH had been up 17-18 days straight. We were ready. The PDT Rule Is Dead. What's Your Move?
SEC officially killed the $25,000 Pattern Day Trader rule yesterday. Goes live in 45 days. Meanwhile the market is acting like a bull market again — gapped down today on Iran headlines and reversed immediately. Dips are getting bought. We're above all the EMAs. Bull market + no PDT = the best setup for new and small-account traders in years. I just dropped my full market breakdown and watchlist for tomorrow on The Bull Sheet. POET, CRDO, YSS, ALB, GLW, plus the AXTI dilution situation and what the PDT change actually means. 🔗 https://thebullsheet00.substack.com/p/dips-are-getting-bought-in-this-stock Drop a comment below — does the PDT rule going away change anything for you or your trading? Curious how many of you were held back by the $25k minimum.
