@Krista Brea That's really great advice. I remember when I was in my twenties, I was working on a Mega Yacht in the Mediterranean. The captain gave us some time off to do some side trips. So I took the train from San Remo, Italy to Paris and then from there onto Boulogne and then cross the english channel on a hovercraft. I was on a mission to go to Greenwich, England and study navigation and where all time starts. Okay. I was easily amused then and I'm still easily amused. It was challenging as the train trip was a little bit long and you got tired and you had to sleep on the train. So I remember being a little unsure when I was trying to take a nap. I also remember when I was in the train station in Paris, this guy was following me around. I felt like he was trying to pick my pockets What this taught me at an early age is you really need to be aware of your situations especially if you're young or you're a woman traveling alone, Not to be scared there's a difference between being scared and being aware and I think the key thing that I learned is just don't be flashy and understand your situations . Nothing wrong with traveling alone but knowing how to be aware and handle yourself is a very important skill to develop and it all starts with just paying attention and not being stupid and having your head in your phone . @Krista Brea It's just like your regular phone service. It does all of it. I've tried all of them, the international data is way cheaper. Like I said the only caveat, if you're overseas a lot they'll shut you down, but most people never get there. Meaning as an example if you live in Thailand it's not going to work for you. But if you're from the US and you travel, ain't nothing better. Here's the thing, I'm the biggest cheap Charlie you'll ever meet. And it saves me money. They have a whole sharing culture whether you're sharing a family plan cheaper or if you were referring a friend you each get sixty dollars sure you gotta meet the requirements sign up for a plan for a period of time They even gave me twenty five dollar credit for the L.A. wildfires, and I live in L.A. I wasn't part of the wildfires fires, but I got the credit. A lot of people trip out when you give them an affiliate link. They think you just want to sell something to them. But the reality of this is I'm an actual user. I could care less if they try it or not, but if they use my code, then they can get started with a credit.

I voted for New Zealand. Reason being, having been there a few times many years ago. The scenery is stunning and very diverse and the people are super cool.

I picked beach lover although I've lived on the beach pretty much my whole life so it isn't that much of a big deal to me to be honest. But that was the best choice out of the poll for me. We spend a lot of time in Thailand is we have a home and a farm there so, I think exploring different cultures would be a big thing that I really love.

@Krista Brea As you probably gathered, I love Thai people and the Thai culture. Years ago, my wife and I dreamed of retiring to Europe, maybe Portugal or Spain. Switzerland was out, we don't have that kind of money. I love those places dearly, especially Spain. The culture, and the fact that you can go out, have a nice meal and a good bottle of wine for maybe 30 or 40 bucks. But here's what we realized. Sure, we'd be having a great time over there, but we'd have no family around us. That one thing changed everything. So we've decided that in the near future, we're going to retire in Thailand instead. After many years of visiting, I can honestly say there is so much to love about the culture and the people, and being near family makes it an easy choice. If any of this makes you want to go, here's what I'd point you to. My favorite city is Chiang Mai, hands down. It comes down to the local culture and the food. Thailand is very regional when it comes to food, and Chiang Mai's is wonderful. It's famous for Khao Soi. If you enjoy visiting Thai temples or meditation, this is a great place to be, and it's very inexpensive. Some times of year are better than others, granted, but it's worth the trip.. Here's a good video about Chiang Mai. We've been to a lot of the beaches and islands in Thailand, and my favorite is Koh Lanta. It's a long haul to get there, but it is well worth it. One fun bit of trivia: you can have a speedboat pick you up on the Phuket side and drop you right on the beach at your resort. That's big fun, we sure enjoyed it.
