Featured Book: AI for Busy Professionals
Huge congratulations to @Gemma Coles she just launched her very FIRST book, AI for Busy Professionals and now she is looking for early readers of her book. It is currently available on Amazon kindle for FREE until Friday. If you would like to support her at no additional cost, please grab a free copy, and leave an honest review. ABOUT THE BOOK: Feeling overwhelmed by AI? Think everyone else is ahead? If you’re confused by Copilot, ChatGPT, or AI inside Microsoft 365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook - you’re not alone. Most “AI for beginners” books overcomplicate things. This one doesn’t. No jargon. No tech speak. No long courses. Just clarity, confidence, and real-world results. ➡️ BUY THE PAPERBACK FOR ONLY $9.99

Just started reading your book on Kindle Unlimited. Very interesting how you talk about how machine learning has been a thing for many years and we never realized what it does in so many ways. For someone who uses AI often now I must admit I never thought of it that way. I think that sharing the history of machine learning and AI is great way to enlighten people that may be unsure of AI and how it can truly help with productivity and creative expression. Great job on the book look forward to reading more.

I have a quick favor to ask from all of you. I’m updating the About page for this community, and I’d love to include some real feedback from members who have been part of the journey here. If you’ve had a good experience in this group, learned something valuable, had an “ah-ha” moment, or taken action from something you learned here, I’d really appreciate it if you could drop a simple 1–2 line testimonial in the comments. 🚀 Nothing fancy is needed. Just something like: • What you’ve learned here • A takeaway you had from the content • Why you like being part of the community I’m planning to turn these into screenshots and create a collage that will live on the community About page so new members can see what people are getting out of being here. Your feedback helps others understand the value of the group and helps this community continue to grow. Thanks in advance — I truly appreciate all of you being here and contributing to the energy of this space. 🙌

I wanted to write a book for a long time, and I recently published my first book on KDP. My book was published before I joined Krista's KDP Publishing Community. In the community, I learned how to be found by more readers by using keyword research and proper category selection, and the importance of doing in-depth research: understanding your reader, your competition, and what people are searching for before starting to write. With the courses, community, and guidance from @Krista Brea , I'm excited to say I'm now working on my next book and feel much more confident publishing on KDP. I'm also excited to explore other publishing platforms and find new ways to connect with readers. Thanks to Krista and the community for helping me believe that I can help people and make money doing something that I enjoy.
Making Money with Amazon
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I started publishing on Amazon KDP at the end of 2022. And here’s what I can tell you with full confidence: once you understand the platform and get a few solid books live, they keep working for you. That’s the part people underestimate. When you treat Amazon like a search engine (which it is), optimize correctly, choose smart categories, and publish with strategy ... those books don’t just sit there. They sell. Month after month. While you’re doing other things. To be completely transparent… I’ve spent a lot of time pouring into this community (which I love), but my books have been wildly outperforming anything I’ve done here on Skool. That was a wake-up call for me. So I’m going back into production mode. Because if we’re talking true passive income, Amazon is hard to beat. Millions of people are already shopping there every single day. You don’t have to convince them to get on the platform. You just have to position your product in front of demand. And tonight, we’re breaking this down. At 6:30pm Central, @Sybil Hall and I are diving into the key differences between Amazon KDP and Amazon FBA ... what makes them different, who each model is best for, and how to decide based on your goals and resources. If you’re serious about building income that doesn’t rely on daily posting, constant selling, or chasing trends… this conversation matters. Check the calendar and don’t miss it. Let’s build smarter.

Sounds pretty interesting. Will there be a replay? By chance I can't make it tonight. I wish I could!

An Idea to Beat Your Competition & AI Ramblings
How about looking at the reviews of competitors in your niche? Using a tool, there are some Chrome extensions where you can extract reviews, or you can do it manually. Take those reviews. Put it in NotebookLM. NotebookLM can help you analyze those reviews visually. And also, you can ask questions to find out what the readers wanted that they weren't getting. AI isn't the answer to everything. But if you use it as a teammate and work together you can discover things you never thought possible. As most of you may know a lot of writers hate people using AI to write their books But instead of using AI to write your content just ask AI to help you clarify your own thoughts and apply tones and how your reader will feel it's still your words, not AI slop just refine it in a way to inspire people. Be forewarned. NotebookLM is a huge rabbit hole. But there are so many ways you can use it to help you . Curious to hear your thoughts

The idea is you can either use a chrome extension to get the reviews or copy and paste reviews The value is you can now ask Notebook LM what the reviewers didn't get that they wanted And you can also view it visually
New book outline
I'm following the Publisher's Playbooks course. I really like it. I've been following it step by step. I've gotten past my key word and topic selection, created a book cover that's easily readable. Now I'm working on the outline. I think I'm going to create it by sections rather than individual chapters, in case I want to move things around. But a question I have is: what other things should be added in the beginning and the end of a book that I should include in the outline? Other than what my book is actually about, if that makes sense.

Thanks no need to say sorry. I know you are very busy. I see you are rocking it here in your community. You've got some great content. Some people's community is just all about the money they make. Yours is very much helping people. I did not think about the citations yet. Question: I was looking at some of the other successful AI books. I saw a couple that had pretty thorough disclaimers about AI. Separate from the copyright page. Also, I noticed one that had a quote from the author. I thought that was kinda cool. But not sure if that's necessary or distracting Also, do you think I need an acknowledgements? From there, I outline to go into introduction and then the various sections. Thanks for your feedback.
