I am a netflix addict... my switch off from life is to be absorbed into a good series. I have just finished Homeland. It was a great watch but now I need to find a new series!!
Business Tools - what do you use?
Hi All, I thought I'd share a few different tools I use to help me in our business, along with what I use them for. Feel free to add your own list in the comments too. 🤗 1. Monday.com (free version) - to do list & tracker I use monday to build out a really comprehensive to do list, and then also have an upcoming events section - this helps me plan my work more effectively and I can see everything in the one space. They recently released a new feature that allows you to have multi-level boards which has also been great. I did move over to Notion for a short period and really loved that too, but moved back to Monday because I just needed an easy "to do" list that I could move around and group items etc. 2. ChatGPT (paid) - content writing & brainstorming I use ChatGPT like a search engine these days and to help me find / explore information - I have a good history built up and so use it to also help me pull together articles and posts - I've trained it over the years for my tone of voice, but have started to transition more over to Claude 3. Claude (paid) - brainstorming, automations & creating documents samples / templates I've only just started using Claude about a month ago, so am still learning how to optimise it. The first thing I had it do was go through and clean up all my files in on my laptop - it was amazing! I just saw that Claude have released some new workflows and automations to help with Small Businesses so I'm excited to learn more about these and see if I can use them in our business / help others set them up in their businesses. 4. Google Suite (paid) - emails + general ops management This gives us our custom emails @milkingducks.com + @duckduckpig.com.au emails as well as access to google drive where we try to store all our important docs so they're in the cloud not on our devices. 5. Canva (paid) - content creation We use Canva to create social media tiles, slide decks, anything creative really. 6. Square - POS for our roadside stall + markets

I use chat gpt has been a game changer for me being able to whip up event proposals and make sure my grammar and spelling is on point. I'm currently looking into zapier to connect my tech stack including mailerlite and social platforms... but for the moment it's overwhelming trying to learn yet another software program!!
A Quick Reset (and a Commitment from Me)
Hi everyone, First up, a huge thank you for being here. We’ve already got a group of seriously impressive women in this community, and I’m really excited to see how it grows and where it takes us. I also want to be honest - since announcing and launching this group, I’ve felt a bit guilty that I haven’t given it the attention and energy I originally intended. I had plans to share more resources, run virtual events, and actively bring more female founders, entrepreneurs (and those aspiring to be) into the space - and I haven’t quite delivered on that yet. So, here’s my commitment moving forward: I’m going to be more present. I’ll be posting regularly, sharing useful articles, podcasts, and insights, and creating space for meaningful conversations. And I’d love for you to do the same - share what you’re working on, ask questions, start discussions. This is our space, and the more we all put into it, the more valuable it becomes. Pull up a chair - we’re just getting started 🤍

🪑 WELCOME TO THE KITCHEN TABLE
Hi, I'm Nikki 👋 I’m a tech founder, small business owner, and someone who’s spent a lot of time figuring things out the hard way. A lot of my business journey has been… pretty isolating. Late nights. Figuring things out on my own. Not having many people I could ask questions or bounce ideas off. I needed help - I just didn’t know where to go. Then something unexpected happened. I applied for an award (mostly to try and get funding)… and found myself surrounded by a group of incredibly smart, generous, kick-ass women. And it hit me: This is what’s been missing. Fast forward a little, and I found myself sitting in rooms hearing the same conversations over and over again… "There's a funding gap..." "We need more female founders..." “Why aren’t more women applying or showing up…” But the truth is — there are already so many women building incredible businesses. They’re just often overlooked because they don’t fit the mould. Or the spaces themselves aren’t designed for them - for women balancing work, family, and everything in between. And I was tired of hearing the same solutions too… More mentoring. More coaching. When what I (and so many others) really needed was: 👉 People in it with you 👉 A space to ask questions 👉 Access to funding, programs, and opportunities 👉 Real, practical support Because doing this alone is hard. But together? We can actually change things. The goal is simple - to reach 1,000 members and create real impact. To build a space where women support women (and allies). And as we grow, to create real opportunities - funding, scholarships, and support for women building businesses. So welcome - I'm really glad you're here 🤍 I’d love to hear - what are you working on at the moment? Pull up a chair. 🪑

That’s been the difference in my business journey…. Connecting with entrepreneurial women- sharing knowledge wisdom and experience. Being vulnerable about the challenges and celebrating the wins! I’m working on a few services right now due to launch…. One being Grief Connect Community. Online peer support, led by me, with lives and grief information posted. Official opening in May!

@Nikki Davey I’ve learnt that the site automations I created in MailerLite do not go in time with my grief Connect community Skool launch date… so now have to manually post my warm up launch emails. A pain and frustrating…. More work to fix just time consuming.
