It was Implementation Week with the Masters of Influence Academy, learning how to speak and present on stage. It was the week I was pushed well and truly out of my comfort zone and then a bit more! Day 1: Traumatising (no sugar-coating it). Day 2: Emotional, tears at the end of the day when my brain checked out! Day 3: Something shifted. Things started coming together. My confidence began to grow. Day 4: Discovered I REALY LOVE speaking on stage! At the start of the week, I struggled even with prompts on my laptop, remembering what I was saying, when to click to the next slide ... weirdly, that was the hardest part for me on stage, even the clicker control buttons scrambled my head! My ADHD brain processes things slower, even though I’m a fast talker (and, yes, my sentences often come out backwards 😅). On stage, you can’t really get away with that, well, could, but no one would have a clue what I was on about! I felt overwhelmed and very emosh! My biggest takeaway? Keep getting up, even when you fall over emotionally and mentally. 💪 AND repeat, repeat, repeat. If you get it wrong, do a little dance, blow some raspberries and start again! 🤣 Because every time you do, you get a little stronger, a little braver, and a whole lot closer to the version of you that can handle anything.
