Today I turn 66. 🎂 When COVID hit, I was 59. I had already been on my weight-loss journey for years and had lost about 120 pounds—going from nearly 400 pounds to 280. But even after all that hard work, I was still very unhealthy: overweight, diabetic, and living with high blood pressure. I was scared to death I wouldn’t even make it to 60. COVID scared the hell out of me—but it also gave me the kick in the ass I needed to get more serious. I started using more tools, working harder, found the gym, and kept fighting for my health. Six years later, I’ve lost 230+ pounds, traded my wheelchair for new knees and a whole new life, and I’m still rising. Time is flying, you guys. Every birthday is a blessing. Every year is a true gift. I’ve survived hard seasons, overcome more than I ever thought possible, and I’m still standing, still growing, and still moving forward. I’m deeply grateful for this life and every chance to begin again. At 66, I’m starting fresh with strength in my heart, hope for what’s ahead, and the determination to keep rising. 💜
