โš”๏ธ New KubeQuest
Good afternoon Crafters! Last week @Pragalva Sapkota showed exactly what happens when you use KubeQuest the way itโ€™s meant to be used. You can check his post here He set three clear goals, stayed focused, and made more progress in one week than he normally would in a month ๐ŸŒŸ This is the power of direction and consistency. Thanks for the example and commitment, @Pragalva Sapkota . This is the standard we are trying to build here New week. New chances. New progress. AI vs Tutorials for Learning
I realized lately that video tutorials slow me down more than they help. Most of them move at a pace that makes me lose focus, and I end up zoning out instead of actually understanding the topic. With AI itโ€™s a completely different game for me: - I can ask for the same concept to be explained multiple times, at different levels of abstraction. - Start high-level โ†’ go deeper โ†’ then drill into the edge cases. - I can request hands-on assignments or mini-projects tailored to whatever Iโ€™m learning right now. - And I can ask it to quiz me, test my understanding, and point out gaps. It feels way more adaptive and way more efficient than passively watching someone else click around. Whatโ€™s your experience with this topic?

Advice for Interview
I know certifications are important. I have an interview tomorrow (2nd) video call. I feel that even though I dont know everything about Kubernetes and CI/CD, it would still be a great practice for me to see if a company would take a chance on me in my current phase of development. I have a strong Linux background with some AWS and Azure certs, plus over 20 years experience in IT from helpdesk, desktop support to server administration. But for the role I am applying for says "associate devops engineer" I feel I am underqualified and frankly a bit scared to do the video call. But like I said, it would be a good practice to see what kinds of things I am lacking in which frankly at this stage is probably alot.

@Christopher Jameson That's the attitude: doing interviews can be stressful but it's a great feedback about what you need to work on. Interviews themselves are a skill on their own!
What Finally Gave Me Proof That I Was Improving
One thing Iโ€™ve learned on this journey is that sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come from the smallest shifts. For me, that shift was when someone encouraged me to apply my DevOps skills inside real e-commerce environments. I wasnโ€™t trying to switch fields I just wanted a place to practice for real. But that experience taught me more than I expected: I learned how systems behave when real people are using them. I saw how automation and monitoring actually support a live business. I understood the difference between knowing a tool and owning a result. What surprised me most wasnโ€™t the technical part it was how much confidence it gave me.Not because everything worked perfectly, but because I finally saw my skills making real impact. It reminded me why many of us joined this community in the first place:To grow. To build. To see our knowledge come alive. Just curious has anyone here found an unexpected place where your DevOps skills became useful? Would love to hear your experiences.

@Mali Sahin I can totally relate with opening things to see what's inside. I remember doing that already as a child with my toys. Putting them back together was the hard part though ๐Ÿ˜…
