@Ashley Melton Hi Ashley! I feel you. My mother watches over me from heaven ever since she unfortunately passed away from cancer back in October 2021. I celebrate her everyday!

@Ashley Melton My former Professor of Psychology at George Mason University and current supporter of mine, Todd aka Todd Kashdan, Ph.D. inspired me to go after my dream of becoming ready for the realm of Positive Psychology starting in Spring 2011 during his phenomenal course, “The Science of Well-Being/Character Strengths”! I learned everything there was to know about the science, neuroscience, character strengths, growth mindset, meditation, and plenty more things that were available through his experiential learning processes and sense of humor throughout his unique course! I didn’t just receive an A in the course; I learned amazing details of action in no uncertain terms. I ended up becoming inducted into Psi Chi-The International Honor Society of Psychology in March 2012, inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi in April 2012, respectively by my former Academic Advisor and Professor, Dr. Hurley! Consequently, I graduated with Dean’s List recognition via my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology around May 2012 from George Mason University. Afterwards in December 2014, I got the chance to connect with Todd once again during his new book signing event for his book, “The Upside Of Your Dark Side”. I purchased his new book at the time, and I got the opportunity to talk to him in-person via conversation. He wrote the following inside his book: “You are a well-oiled machine. I love how far you’ve come!” That was so significant to me, and I was flabbergasted, humbled to say the least. I was so thankful and grateful for his time and energy there back then.

@Ashley Melton I got the chance to be on a honeymoon all-inclusive resort stay to travel in my first overseas trip to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic in 2013. It was a fantastic, illuminating experience all-around! Firstly, we got our bags and got into a taxicab at the airport. Afterwards, we talked directly to the driver and learned about him, as he gave us his business card and we talked about our plans. We decided to go to our hotel, first of all. Secondly, we talked about the different things that we could do and fully enjoy during our stay. We talked about our hotel accommodations, the beaches , swimming pool, and the various breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals we would get to experience together. Then, we talked about the different restaurants we could enjoy, in addition to checking out the local rum factory in town, the musical flavors here, and the ultimate experience of going through a cable car ride over the sky and into a large rainforest. We decided to go through these types of places one day at a time, based on being there for about a week. The food options were great, flavorful, and delicious to say the least. Enjoying the music was definitely exciting and interesting, no question about it. Going into town and having fun with the pigeons was amazing to behold. I personally loved going to the beaches! It started to rain while we were there, so we stayed indoors and waited out the weather, of course. Eventually, we got the epic chance to take loads of pictures while staying there. I got souvenirs such as a couple of local t-shirts at the nearby clothing store, and I additionally got a piece of art for my aunt and my mother, as well. The extra experience of the cable car ride over the sky was stunning and stupendous, in my humble opinion. This unique time inside the rainforest was actually spectacular without question! I made sure to enjoy taking showers before entering the swimming pool, and I got to fully appreciate the different types of cocktails that they offered there, as well! Ultimately, it was an amazing experience during this all-inclusive hotel resort stay, and I highly recommended this particular hotel in no uncertain terms.
