Hip Muscle Pull
Hello Michael, apart from exercises, can you suggest any gel to apply to muscle pull pain on the hip?

Hi Sam, thanks for the question. I don't typically give recommendations for medications or even pain relief gels, just because some of the ingredients might not interact well for some people. It's highly variable. I'd recommend trying a couple of different ones at the smallest possible bottle just so if it doesn't work for you, you don't have to waste a bunch. Hope that helps.
So glad to be here!

The unconventional advice that might change your December 🎅🏽
The advice: Stop doing everything, running around everywhere, and trying to change everything about your health all at once. Stop being a "health freak". Instead… it's important to settle down and "chill." My challenge for you: Set one or two goals, maximum, something measurable, that you can achieve before the end of the year, with your pain or exercise. Something simple, like: "I'm going to do 10 squats, 10 dead bugs, and walk for 10 minutes per day, every day, until December 30th." Or "I'm going to do the free movement challenge, in the Classroom, for 3 weeks consecutive before Christmas". One specific goal, measurable and achievable. I’ll show you why this works. You are going to be inundated with "specials" and "limited time offers" on all sorts of gadgets, gizmos, and "secret plans" that fitness gurus are going to try to help you get "started early on New Years Resolutions"........ Inevitably, all of this noise is going to overwhelm you. But the "secret" to health success, is actually fairly simple. Simple movement, consistently implemented over time, often yields the best results. Most pain and health issues are at their root, caused by a lack of intentional movement. You don't need another 50% off treadmill that eventually rots in the basement - you just need to be consistent with the habits (and your wallet will thank you for not spending 2,000 US on a treadmill). That said, if you would like personalized help on this journey - I'm always here - ready to offer you tailored guidance and coaching - DM me if you'd like to learn more. Otherwise, enjoy the free resources - I hope they help you have a great December!

What is your #1 hidden roadblock?
Most of the time, when we are dealing with pain - we are so focused on the pain that we lose sight of the hidden factors that are contributing to our issues. What do I mean by this? I don't mean that your pain isn't real. It absolutely is. What I mean is that your sciatica, knee pain, or joint discomfort is often just the messenger - not the root problem. Here's what I see time and time again: Someone comes in with shooting sciatic pain down their leg. They want relief for their sciatic nerve. But when we dig deeper, we discover their hips are completely locked up from years of sitting. Their glutes have stopped firing properly. Their pelvis is tilted. The sciatica? It's just the alarm bell telling us something upstream needs attention. Or take knee pain. You might be icing your knee, wearing a brace, even considering surgery. But the real issue could be weak hips that aren't stabilizing your leg properly, or tight ankles that are forcing your knee to compensate with every step you take. Joint pain works the same way. Your shoulder might be screaming, but the real culprit could be your thoracic spine mobility, your posture, or even how you're breathing under stress. The issue is not the issue. The pain is where your body finally said "enough" - but the problem started somewhere else, often long before you felt anything at all. This is why chasing the pain rarely works long-term. You can ice it, rest it, even medicate it. But if you're not addressing the underlying movement dysfunction, muscle imbalances, or compensatory patterns, you're just putting a band-aid on a structural problem. So what's the solution? Stop treating the symptom. Start treating the system. That means looking at how your body moves as a whole, identifying the weak links, and restoring proper function from the ground up. When you do this, something remarkable happens: the pain you've been battling for months or even years often resolves on its own - because you finally addressed what was actually broken.
