Do you "pre-game" before going out?
No, I'm not talking about drinking alcohol before you leave the house. I'm talking about getting yourself in the right mindset to calm your nerves before being social. I always had conflicting feelings before leaving the house. I wanted to be social and see friends and family, but I didn't want to feel the anxiety that went with it. In the car ride there I would repeat one or two affirmations to calm myself and ease my nerves. And then two or three deep breaths as I'm walking towards the place I'm going.
