How do you get more streams?
This is the age old question. It’s a marketing question, if you didn’t know, People don’t know about you, and your goal is to let them know about you. How do you do this? 1. Organic followers and community, I.E.: message your friends and family and ask them to listen. 💡 Tip: Ask them to share your music and leverage their audience as well. 2. Cold outreach: reach out to strangers and see if they want to listen to your music. Uncomfortable? Yes. Effective? Also, yes, IF you reach out to enough people. 3. Social media: effective? ✅ cheap? Possibly. Posting to social media is akin to playing the lottery, every once in a while a video hits, and you get viral traction. Post good content, consistently, and watch your audience grow. Otherwise, plan on using some ad spend to speed things up. 4. Playlisting: this can be free if you spend the time pitching playlists. There are paid tools like songtools.io however, these can be expensive and the effect seems to go away after you decide to stop paying them. 5. Paid Spotify: probably one of the best ways to reach a new audience that might end up becoming long term fans 6. Reddit: don’t forget to post your songs on intentional forums for music promotion and Facebook groups as well. Which of these would you like more info on? @everyone
