The other day someone told me they didn't post an event they are hosting on LinkedIn because they didn't have many followers/connections. I argued that you don't need to. The whole purpose of social media is leveraging other people's connections. If you had only 100 people in your circle, but you tag 5 of those people who had 5,000 followers and asked them to share it. Then of those 25k people they shared it to, maybe 10 more share the post to their 2,500 followers. You can reach 50,000 people very quickly and easily. You don't need to be a mega influencer. You need a marketing strategy. And I'm not talking about paid ads. I can count on one hand how many people I know who can run effective paid ad campaigns. Lets work together to help each other grow. Yesterday I had a call with a client in the construction field. I also have another client in the field that offers a different service. With a simple email introduction that took me 2 minutes, I introduced the two of them. I didn't do it for affiliate money, or a finder's fee, or revenue share. Although those are great, that was not the case here. I don't make a dime. I do get to help out a couple great guys who would mutually benefit from working together. If you help enough people, you will find good fortune. It is just how the world works. So, l challenge you today to be a good teammate and help someone out. Or at least introduce yourself to someone. Share your social media info. Make connections. Let's build a stronger community together.
