IMPORTANT - New Scam Warning
Hello – I wanted to touch bases and make all our members aware of an ongoing scam. This new scam is by far the most convincing I have ever seen – so please exercise extreme caution. The scam: - A potential passenger will reach out, asking to help with her honeymoon / plan a trip for her and her partner - Generally, they will advise that they found your contact details on Virtuoso - The email will sound reasonable and will be well written (none of the give-away grammatical errors that used to be red flags) - Once you respond, they will ask for a Zoom meeting (or other video conferencing platform) to discuss their needs/ideas and THEY will provide the link - The moment you click on the link, you will open your computer up to malicious software Just this week alone, I have received multiple reports of this exact same email being sent to various TTS members. If you do receive an email following this pattern, please be wary. If you would like to proceed, please insist on talking on the phone first or provide YOUR link to a conference platform, do not use theirs. In case of any questions, please let me know. Thank you!
