Thanks for the tag, Jules! For my solo travelers, a few spots come up again and again: Portugal (Lisbon and Porto especially) — walkable, affordable, and one of the easiest places to feel comfortable solo for a first international trip. Costa Rica — adventure without it feeling unsafe, and a strong "everyone's solo here too" group-trip culture.Italy, smaller towns over the big cities — easier to actually meet people than Rome or Venice, where it's easy to feel anonymous in the crowd. Portugal/Greece for island-hopping — built-in structure (ferries, set itineraries) takes the planning pressure off if it's someone's first time traveling alone. Curious what's resonating with your group, are they leaning more relaxation, adventure, or culture-first?

@Jules Baker Good question, Jules! A few things that have worked for getting people to actually share instead of just lurking: Make the ask narrow, not open-ended. "Share your travel stories" is harder to respond to than "What's one moment from a trip that surprised you?" or "Show us a photo of the best meal you had on a trip." The more specific the prompt, the easier it is for someone to jump in. Give it a recurring home. A weekly or biweekly thread (same day, same format) means people start saving up stories for it instead of needing to be prompted cold each time. Predictability lowers the bar to participate. Ask for the feeling, not just the place. Since this group's hook is travel as a stress antidote, prompts like "What's a trip memory you replay when you need to calm down?" tie directly into your positioning instead of just being generic travel chat. Seed it yourself first. When you post the prompt, drop your own answer in the comments right away rather than just asking the question. People mirror the first real answer they see far more than they respond to the question alone. Happy to keep swapping ideas — this is a fun community angle, very different from the group-trip side of what I'm building.

Great to have you in the Enjoy the Journey of Life community! Hi, I'm Jules and I'm from Canberra, Australia. Enjoy the Journey of Life is a sanctuary for overthinkers to pause, reset and reconnect to what truly matters. This community offers quick and easy techniques to rejuvenate your mind and bring joy into the present moment. Think of it as a mental gateway to help you relax, rejuvenate and refocus - helping you tap into peace, clarity and a sense of calm. It offers a mental vacation anytime you need it! I created this community as I've seen the benefits of groups hearing each others' struggles and celebrations. Everyone learns more about others and themselves. In the Enjoy the Journey of Life community, let's talk about: 🌎overthinking solutions 🌍travel adventures that inspire 🌏personal discoveries and triumphs 🌎relaxation, rejuvenation, clarity and calm. I'm delighted to have you here and cannot wait to see what you discover about your journey of life and where it takes you. Please introduce yourself in the comments section. ⬇️ Feel free to use this simple format, if it helps: " I'm (name), I live in (location), my favourite travel destination is (location). For fun I love to ...." Add a photo of your favourite travel destination or fun pastime. Take a moment to see who else is in the community. Looking forward to meeting you. Jules

@Jules Baker Haha I feel that 😄 keeping up with your own thoughts can feel like a full-time job sometimes. What I’ve noticed (personally and with people I work with) is it’s usually not about having too many thoughts… it’s not having a clear place to put them or act on them. Once that shifts, things get a lot calmer.
