I want to share something exciting with all of you...
My mom and step-dad were just here visiting yesterday and I started talking to them about what I'm doing here on Skool. Now they're both in their mid-70s and while they're not completely tech illiterate they don't really know about things like online communities. But I explained to them my vision, my ideas, what the platform is all about and my goals for starting this community... and I didn't even compare it to Facebook group (which they would've been familiar with), AND I didn't have to use AI to help me clarify it or bring it down to their level. I just explained it from the heart. When you can explain what you're doing to a group of people who have no clue what any of it means or how it works and have them actually UNDERSTAND and GET IT... that's when you know that you've got something that's REAL TO YOU.... something worth pursuing. 💥That's when you know you're in your lane of expertise and you're really doing something that matters to you. And that wasn't even the first time, that I could easily explain what Skool Homeroom is all about! Saturday when I was working on writing a "short sentence" about my community with @Heather Boers in The Directory on Skool and everything I wrote was my own words. And everything I wrote.... it just felt... well, it felt right. I didn't use AI... I explained it the way that I felt it. Now I'm not saying I'm against AI... but sometimes, you just need to reach a point where you can explain your business from your HEART and SOUL. So when is the last time, you explained what you do... whether it's your Skool community, your business or anything else... to someone outside of your niche, someone who is totally clueless about it... and have them actually UNDERSTAND it? 🙋🙋♂️Let's do a Skool Homeroom Roll Call... EVERYONE drop a short sentence about your business, your community... something that comes from your heart. Something you could explain to your 70 something parents or your grandparents in a way that they would actually get it!
