5 contributions to Automate to Elevate
Mini Challenge #3- Make Automation Build Assignment as an AI Automation Business
Assignment #1: The automation I built will help my business by giving me an up to date refocus on where I need to direct my energies, on what's hot and what's not. It will help me research my competitors to find the holes in the marketplace that I can fill to gain marketshare. It helped me to get inside the head of my potential clients and where to find them. Excellent! Assignment #2: My biggest challenge building this automation was my own personal focus and here's how I solved it... Having a strict deadline to perform or be removed from the group really helped as did putting down the phone and staying on topic with each module until I was finished. My car was in the shop for a few days so I used the opportunity to stay home and work on this until completion! No work until this work was finished!

Mini Challenge #2- Perplexity Research for AI Automation
Perplexity Research Mini-Challenge Assignment (as a _your niche_ business) Assignment #1: The coolest thing I discovered comparing Perplexity and ChatGPT was the amount of citations it used- 92! then it showed its list of tasks (15) and told me it’s process. I know it was thorough and not making stuff up. I was initially kind of blown away, but on second glance, I found it was using the same strange sources for a lot of it’s info. I’m not super impressed with the quality and accuracy, but it is very interesting. I’m looking to learn to automate and connect things. The quality of the data is another story that can be explored later. Assignment #2: This real-time research approach will change my business by helping me find the micro niches and areas of rapid growth and opportunity. It gave me about four good ideas to explore. Assignment #3: My best research strategy using both tools was to tell it to be a fact based expert. I don’t feel I have a best practice yet as I’m just learning and have not got the best results yet, but it is very cool and certainly promising.

Mini Challenge #1 Open AI Module
I asked the bot to give me a report on the AI Automation market locally, in Oregon. Assignment #1: My biggest AI surprise was- heavy hallucination- it just made stuff up and spoke of it as fact. For the Open AI part of the project, I began by using the prompt that you provided for us as it was and found the result to be somewhat informative yet quite vague. I feel like it gave me a few important insights but seemed to be surface level. The part that really surprised me and frustrated me is that it provided me a completely non existent hallucination for a local competitor example. This honestly made me feel very far off as to it’s value (especially as an offering to a client.) Assignment #2: This tool will help my business by- helping me have a broader view of local trends I may have known but not put together clearly in my mind. It will also giving me pathways to do a deeper dive on. For example, it focused on the fact that there is a lot of industrial and logistic automation need here in my community. I knew this, and it is not my wheelhouse in terms of servicing these type of clients. The bot discussed an underserved business community which I am now eager to dive into as a nice client target market. Assignment #3 The Prompt tweak that worked the best was… What I decided to do was give the entire prompt back to Chat GPT, assigned it the role of an AI and market research expert. I voiced my dissatisfaction (in detail) with my initial prompt results and asked it to solve my pain points by revising and updating the prompt. It gave me back a “Hi-Fidelity Market Research Bot” prompt, which gave me a better result, although I’m still checking on if it gave me more hallucinations. Also it gave me this message at the end, after I specifically asked it to be factual in the new prompt. “This report includes simulated data and analysis based on current trends as of 2023, tailored towards strategic insights for an AI automation firm based in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon.”

Where are you from? Eugene, Oregon. Grew up in Florida, traveled to 47 states so far. What are you working on? I'm working on learning AI and Automation in order to build systems that can help transform small businesses and solo operators outcomes. What immediate help do you need? I need to take small incremental steps that are wins which build upon one another. My background is in sales, so there is a bit of a learning curve with slowing down to speed up. Learning and implementing in a systemic focused way has been a challenge, largely due to shiny object syndrome on top of often short attention span.
🧠 Just Built This – My Most Human-like AI System Yet 🤖✨
Last week, I shared the real estate chatbot I was building… but now it’s got personality 👀 Meet BOB, TRACEY, and JAKE – three AI agents working together to automate the property game. 🔹 BOB helps buyers find the perfect home 🔹 TRACEY assists sellers in listing properties effortlessly 🔹 JAKE works undercover, tracking future property matches for buyers on the hunt 👟 I kept the core features from before: Collects leads, shows matching properties in seconds Real-time booking, updates, and agent notifications Smart memory – remembers user preferences for future alerts Challenge-based reward system for referrals & social media engagement But this version feels… alive. Instead of buttons and static flows, I’ve built a system where characters interact just like a real team would. They guide users step-by-step, respond with personality, and get things done 🔥 🎥 Just finished recording the full experience—would love thoughts & feedback from this community.
