Affiliate Program Wind Down & Next Steps
I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you for the work you've put into promoting these books I spent years writing. Thank you personally, and thank you on behalf of the business owners and aspiring business owners who will read those books and have their lives changed as a result. None of that would have happened without your effort. To quote Warren Buffett, "Lose money for the firm and I will be understanding. Lose a shred of reputation for the firm, and I will be ruthless." [Comment directed towards Tik Tok Shop] -->Skip to the end for next steps, you can read the in between for reasons why<--- As you can see in the headline, I've decided to wind down the affiliate program. And I want to be clear, this is NOT because of anything you guys did. It's because structurally The Tik Tok Shop platform creates too much reputational risk for anyone with an established brand for 3 main reasons: 1. The platform doesn't clearly communicate to creators why a commission does or does not get paid (over which the brand has no control to communicate or even adjust). This is an automated system controlled by Tik Tok (not us) and it makes it seem - entirely through poor communication - that the brand has withheld money from the creator. Which is insane. 2. There are not enough ways to enforce brand guidelines. Meaning - if a hook says "Alex Hormozi is scamming you...if you buy his book for full price when you could buy it here for less through me" that's obviously something no brand wants to have - no matter how many sales it generates. And having to purely be reactive to this content you're literally paying commissions on, is really tough. 3. It encourages aggressive discounts. Again, this is structural, not on y'all. This is how retailers work - not great brands. In the immortal words of Rory Sutherland, Vice Chairman at Ogilvy: "Any fool can sell something for less, it takes great marketing to sell the same thing for more". The platform is not conducive for building and reinforcing a brand. To be clear, this is not for me specifically, because I am happy to give information away for free, but the global incentives are purely discount driven. Not ideal.

Dear Alex, You probably don't know who I am. But I want you to know — I've been here since the very beginning. I'm the owner of madeofsteel_brand and madeofsteel_project. Back in early October, when "$100M Money Models" first appeared in your shop alongside the affiliate program, if I remember correctly, the book had fewer than 10 orders at that time. I was one of the first people to share it. Not because of the commission. But because I genuinely believed in what you wrote. I've read your entire series. And like many other creators in this community, I have a deep passion for sharing business knowledge. Over 3 years of creating content on TikTok, reading countless books about business, yet I've never found a book series as fitting as the $100M series. Simply because it's easy to understand, concise, and anyone can apply it. Most of the videos on my two channels are about business models. And every time I introduce the $100M series at the end of a video, I don't feel like I'm "selling something". I feel like I'm handing someone a compass for their journey in business . Alex, I understand why you made this decision. The recent incident must have disappointed you and made you worried about the reputation you've worked so hard to build. But I want you to see another perspective. The affiliate program isn't just about money. It's a bridge, between people like me, creators who strive every day to share value with our communities, and the entrepreneurs out there who desperately need a book series that's actually worth reading. It allows us to continue our journey of sharing knowledge without constantly worrying about making ends meet. It gives us the motivation to create even better content. And ultimately, it helps your message reach more people, who truly need it. I believe thousands of creators in the business content niche share the same thoughts as I do. We don't share just to make sales. We share because we want to contribute to the community. And the existence of the $100M series gives us something truly worthy to recommend. As a creator who has been with you since the early days, I have just one humble request: Please reconsider.
