The UI is not perfect yet, but the logic is working, and that's what matters most. This project taught me that you don't need expensive tools to build something useful. Yesterday I built a spa lead generation automation using Trigger.dev, Supabase, OpenAI and Resend. It finds spas with missing or outdated websites, saves qualified leads to Supabase, generates a personalized demo website, creates a demo URL, and prepares a personalized outreach email. The demo websites still need improvement, but the end to end automation is working. Before this, I tried building a LinkedIn job automation, but it wasn't successful. 3 n8n Mistakes I Made as a Beginner (So You Don't Have To) I've been learning n8n for a while now, and although I'm still a beginner, I've definitely made mistakes that slowed me down. Here are three that stand out: 1. I focused on nodes instead of the workflow. At first, I wanted to learn every node. Eventually I realized that understanding the process is much more important than knowing every feature. Once you know the workflow, learning the right nodes becomes much easier. 2. I got frustrated when things broke. I used to think a broken workflow meant I was doing something wrong. Now I see debugging as part of the learning process. Every error taught me something about data, APIs, expressions, or how different nodes communicate with each other. 3. I tried to build complex automations too early. I wanted to build AI agents with lots of integrations before I had mastered simple workflows. Looking back, I learned much faster when I started with small automations and improved them step by step. I'm still learning every day, but these three lessons have saved me a lot of time. For the experienced n8n builders here—what beginner mistake do you see people make most often?
