Hi girlies, as you may or may not know, I'm moving in my career towards Product Management. So these days I'm heads down polishing my CV, LinkedIn, and building out my portfolio. One project I've been working on lately is ShadeMatch: a foundation shade-matching tool. I have a light olive skin tone, so shade matching has always been a real struggle for me personally. I'd love to validate this idea with you guys: have you ever dealt with foundation shade-matching issues? I know olive girlies always struggle with it, but I'm curious how common this is for other skin tones too. Would really appreciate hearing your thoughts! 💕

Hey everyone! 🤍 I'm Merey, I'm originally from Kazakhstan, currently based in Sydney doing my Master's in AI/ML. Right now I'm building toward a Product Management role in tech/AI, bridging the technical and strategy sides of things, and that's honestly where I feel most alive. I have some concrete goals of mine and I'd say this is my winter arc (but in Australia we passed winter 2 weeks ago, hehe): land a PM offer, or at least a strong pipeline of interviews, by growing a real LinkedIn presence and starting my visibility on social media. Yesterday I took the Gallup CliftonStrengths test and my #1 strength came back as Ideation which is basically connecting dots between things that don't obviously belong together. People have told me this my whole life without me having a name for it, so it was a fun "oh THAT'S what that is" moment. It ties into why I'm so drawn to the human side of building a career right now too as charisma, networking, the art of conversation, social capital, etiquette, not in a performative way, more like understanding how people actually build trust and connection with each other. I'm really happy to connect with all of you guys, and I'd love to ask you for some social media (especially TikTok and Instagram) growth tips and strategies, perhaps some videos or resources. Hi girls! My name is Kumi and I’m living in Bangkok, Thailand. I am currently doing social media for my family’s private gym business. Since I took this role, the number of new clients have skyrocketed from 3-4 new clients a month (Jan-July) to well over 40 new clients just in August-September alone. I do this by focusing on creating relatable and entertaining content that makes our trainers personable and feature actual clients to create trust. While doing this, I am also building my own personal brand on Instagram. I am still figuring out my groove but still enjoying the trial and error process nonetheless! An outcome I am working towards before December 31 is posting 3-4x a week consistently for more inbounds for paid collaboration opportunities! Something I take pride in doing very well is not so much of an “action” per se, but it is being a good listener and supporter. I am big on connecting with people on a more human-level and offering a space to exchange support, ideas, and just pushing each other towards our individual goals and helping one another grow. Sometimes you just need someone to listen and provide a fresh perspective and so I am all about mutual support and encouragement! One thing people would never assume about me would be that I am a big homebody. I’ve been told I look the opposite, but I am trying very hard to change that and get out more!! :D I love having productive conversations about work and life so I am very open to that here. My name is Ruzeth and I’m from South Africa. After graduating early end of 2026, I decided to take this year and build my acting, voice, & writing skills. I’ve taken several short courses this year in acting, screenwriting, modeling, fiction writing, and mindset/psychology. I also just signed up for a pop music songwriting course so that I can understand what makes pop music tick (i.e. lyrics and melodies) and write hit music. Before the end of the year, I aim to finish my first screenplay and sign with an acting agent in South Africa & the US. From thereon, my main goal for 2027 will be producing my first low budget feature film so that I can enter the film industry rooms with acting & writing/producing experience and credibility instead of waiting around for an opportunity. I’ve always been very sensitive to people’s emotions/energy so my intuition, combined with my natural interest in psychology, human behavior, languages, and storytelling has honed my ability to write deep, interesting characters and narrative conflicts. Additionally I have always invested time into understanding how and why I think or feel the way I do, so I find that I’m often able to help people around me in asking the right questions that would help them solve for the root problems as opposed to mere symptoms. Finally, I have a solid understanding of good branding and marketing. During my senior year of college, I created a brand manual, marketing plan, and social media content for an early stage film studio. If you’re working in these fields, I’d be more than happy to connect and help in whatever way I can. I’m currently looking for screenwriter friends with which to exchange scripts for reading and feedback. I also want to build relationships with casting directors, acting agents, and film producers so that I know how to better position myself in the film industry (both in South Africa & the USA). That said, I’m open to connecting with people in other industries too because I enjoy learning about different business models and crafts, and I believe that the knowledge we exchange cross-disciplines are just as life-changing as that exchanged amongst peers in the same industry.
