@Mitta Wise I am not sure, do they eat your plants?

@Mitta Wise that is annoying, can you try putting some plastic spikes on top of the pots, I think you can buy it as cuttable matting. It does not really hurt them but is uncomfortable
Welcome to Mindful Gardening! 🌱
I'm Mercedes, your host. I hold an RHS Level 3 Distinction in Horticulture and I'm also a somatic practitioner — which basically means I'm equally passionate about what grows in the soil and what shifts in your nervous system when you slow down and pay attention to it. I created this space because I believe gardening is more than a hobby. It's a path to feeling calmer, more present, and more connected — to nature and to yourself. Here's what you'll find here: 🌿 Seasonal growing guides and practical gardening tips 🌿 Mindful practices you can take into your garden or outdoor space 🌿 My own garden transformation — from total mess to something beautiful, all on a budget 🌿 A warm community where dead plants are welcome and perfect lawns are not required This is a space to share what you're growing, what you're noticing, and how the garden is making you feel. No pressure, no performance — just soil, stillness, and good company. Introduce yourself below! Tell us: 🪴 Your name and where you're based 🪴 What your garden looks like right now (honestly!) 🪴 One thing you hope to get from being here So glad you're here 💚

@Elizabeth Shoop amazing, that is a wonderful plot to have and I would love to have that sort of space. Ask your questions here and hopefully we can help you x

@Luna Morvran it is lovely to have you here and hopefully we can get you over your fear of gardening. I have been sharing less than I would like but I have some bits I want to share over the next week. If you have questions please ask them
What are you working on this weekend?
I have not had much time to get out in my allotment this week because of running a summit in my other group. I have got someone to help with my polytunnel though so I nearly have that fully covered and today I was out weeding. Weeding can be seen as a boring task but I like to see it as a mindful task and just focus on what I am doing as I do it. I am hoping over the weekend to bring you the first video from my garden and you can see the challenge I have on my hands

@Ashley Booher enjoy. I am getting in my mum's garden later and doing a plan for it
Magnificent magnolia 🌸
Just wanted to share this beauty from my garden, impossible not to be transported by her heavenly presence 💖 And was also suggested I could pickle the leaves!

This is beautiful, I love a magnolia, but I always find, like cherry blossom, they don't last long enough
Planting Strawberries
I have made my first video on my allotment. I did not get the camera angle quite right but hopefully you can get the idea. This is a whole new way of creating content for me, so I am sure it will get better. In this one I am clearing my strawberry beds and planting new plants ready for the spring
