Branded Caller ID for Canada
Hi everyone, I'm currently working with a prospect in Canada, and the main thing they would like to see from our demo is having a branded call for their prospect, and the SMS branded for the prospect as well when sending with AI in outreach. The main thing is that with the I already done the A2P campaign for the SMS for branded clarity, CNAM it's not available for Canada numbers from my understanding, and I would like to know if any of you guys have found a routing around that, the solution, you know, or using another US phone number for Canada clients (which I still have to think about the effectiveness of it avoiding spam or low reply rate for their clients). There is a new feature in Twilio called branded calling that's different from CNAM, but for non-US region is in private beta, so I don't think it's accessible. The other solution will be use another provider for branded calling, and in Canada one solution seems to be this hiya.com

@Vito Pugni Welcome! You can use Hiya for branded calling with Canadian numbers. You're right that CNAM doesn't work for Canada, but Hiya integrates well that most prospects actually see the branding when you call them. For SMS just stick with the A2P registration. Hiya for calls plus proper A2P should keep your spam rates low.

One Calendar Event or Per-Service Events?
Hi everyone, I’m building a voice AI receptionist using Retell AI and I’d like some advice on the best architecture for appointment scheduling. For a business like a dental clinic that offers multiple services (for example: teeth whitening, tooth extraction, consultations, etc.), I’m unsure which approach is better: Option A: Create one general calendar event and one booking function that handles all services. The service type would simply be stored as a field when the appointment is booked. Option B: Create separate calendar events and separate booking functions for each service (e.g., one for teeth whitening, another for tooth extraction, etc.). The same design question also applies to other functions such as: - check_availability -reschedule_appointment -cancel_appointment From a scalability and system design perspective, which approach do you recommend and why? Thanks in advance for your insights.

Thanks for joining here Emanuel! I'd go with Option A . One calendar event with the service type as a field keeps things way simpler to maintain, especially as you scale up and add more services. I'm curious what calendar system you're using though?
