I'm 20 years old and a brand new doula! I have my first prenatal meeting with my first client (a friend of mine) this evening, other than that, I haven't had any leads, clients or consultations since I completed my training in February. I'm doing this so I can be successful from the start, not try to figure it out myself without guidance and fail haha. I'm in Cookeville TN and am super excited and a little nervous to start in the field!!!

Lisa! So I have to say the process of “inviting” women into my services and seeing them “bite” is addicting. Today I had a new follower on IG. I msgd her and thanked her for joining and then asked the question I’ve been asking everyone lately “I’m curious, did you find me from my podcast or just scrolling IG”. To which they usually reply. This mom replied saying a friend had sent her to my page and that she is currently 9m pregnant.. I congratulated her and told her that I am happy to support her however I can. She replied thanking me and saying how she has been watching my content. Another few messages and she shared that she is due early April, plans a natural birth in hospital with a midwife but babe is breech, which is why her friend sent her my info. We had a few messages back and forth about her provider and breech etc. then she thanked me for having a conversation with her. Normally this is when I would say “absolutely anytime”- but this time I added “have you hired or considered birth support” at the end. She said she has considered it and asked my prices… I replied this and just like that we have a call scheduled for tomorrow!!
