Remembering Sacrifice With Gratitude
Memorial Day is more than just a holiday — it’s a time to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service. Their sacrifice reminds us of the value of freedom, courage, and love for others. As we spend time with family and enjoy the day, may we also carry grateful hearts for those who made it possible. Let us remember them not only today, but always. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Serving With Joy, Not Obligation
Serving God should never feel like a heavy burden driven only by pressure, routine, or obligation. True service flows from a heart filled with love, gratitude, and joy. When believers understand God’s goodness and faithfulness, serving others becomes more than a responsibility — it becomes an expression of worship and a reflection of Christ’s character. Many people begin serving with excitement and passion, but over time, exhaustion, comparison, or lack of appreciation can slowly turn service into something done only out of duty. This is why it is important to continually check the condition of the heart. God is not only concerned with what we do but also with the attitude behind our actions. Serving with joy means choosing to give time, effort, kindness, and support willingly rather than reluctantly. Whether serving in church, helping family members, encouraging friends, volunteering, or assisting people in need, joyful service reflects humility and love. Even small acts of kindness can become powerful testimonies when done sincerely. Jesus Himself demonstrated joyful and humble service throughout His life. He cared for people, showed compassion, healed the hurting, and served others selflessly. His example reminds believers that greatness in God’s kingdom is not measured by status or recognition but by love and willingness to serve others faithfully. Joyful service also protects the heart from bitterness and burnout. When people focus only on recognition, rewards, or validation from others, discouragement easily grows. But when service is rooted in love for God, believers find deeper fulfillment because they understand that their efforts have eternal value even when unnoticed by others. Serving with joy does not mean people will never feel tired or overwhelmed. Everyone needs rest, balance, and renewal. However, joy returns when believers reconnect with God’s presence and remember the purpose behind their service. Prayer, gratitude, and time with God help restore strength and perspective.

If you’re serving out of obligation, that’s the wrong reason. Serve with joy and not for the cameras.
Faith That Shapes Everyday Decisions
aith isn’t only for the big moments in life. It’s not just for Sunday mornings, difficult seasons, or major crossroads. Real faith shows up in everyday decisions. In the quiet choices no one else sees. In how we respond under pressure. In how we treat people. In what we prioritize. Because faith isn’t only something we believe— It’s something we live. Sometimes we think spiritual growth only happens in big, dramatic moments. But often, faith is formed in ordinary decisions: ✨ Choosing patience when frustration rises ✨ Responding with kindness instead of reaction ✨ Trusting God before making a decision ✨ Walking in integrity when compromise feels easier ✨ Saying yes to what aligns with truth, even when it costs something These everyday choices may seem small… But they shape the direction of our lives. Faith influences how we spend our time. How we use our words. How we handle conflict. How we make decisions in uncertainty. It becomes the lens through which we live. And the more we invite God into ordinary decisions, the more faith moves from theory into practice

Choosing to live in faith everyday can be a struggle especially when times are great.

Showing obedience is in all the moments in everyday life. Driving to and from work or school, going to appointments, going to the doctor and even going to church. Don’t go to church with the attitude of “I need to be here” but with the attitude of “I WANT to be here!” I love being able to worship with like minded people!! After everything opened after COVID, I was so excited to be able to go to worship!!
✨ Obedience That Brings Blessing ✨
Obedience to God is not always easy, especially when we do not fully understand His plans. There are moments when following His direction requires patience, sacrifice, and complete trust. But throughout the Bible, we see that every act of obedience opens the door to God’s guidance, protection, and blessing. 🌿 God does not ask us to obey because He wants to limit us. He calls us to obey because He loves us and desires what is best for our lives. Sometimes the blessing is not immediate. Sometimes obedience first develops our character, strengthens our faith, and teaches us to depend on Him more deeply. When we choose obedience over fear, faith over doubt, and surrender over control, we allow God to work powerfully in our lives. Even small acts of obedience matter — choosing kindness, forgiving others, praying faithfully, walking away from temptation, or trusting God during difficult seasons. The story of many faithful people in The Bible reminds us that God honors those who trust Him wholeheartedly. Noah obeyed and was protected. Abraham obeyed and was blessed. Mary obeyed and became part of God’s greater purpose. Their obedience was rooted in faith. Today, may we remember that delayed understanding does not mean God is absent. His plans are always greater than what we can see. Obedience may cost something now, but God’s blessings — peace, strength, wisdom, and spiritual growth — are always worth it. 🤍 “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” — The Bible

Obedience comes when you stretch outside of your comfort zone also.
Honoring Spiritual Mothers & Mentors
Behind every growing faith is someone who chose to guide, nurture, and walk alongside us. Spiritual mothers and mentors are gifts from God—people who pour into our lives with wisdom, patience, and love. They pray for us, speak truth into our hearts, and gently lead us back to God when we lose our way. Their presence may not always be loud, but their impact is deep and lasting. We are reminded to honor those who have helped shape our faith journey. The ones who listened when we needed someone to talk to, who encouraged us when we felt weak, and who reminded us of God’s promises when we struggled to believe. Honoring them goes beyond words. It’s shown through gratitude, respect, and the way we carry the lessons they’ve shared with us. It’s living out the faith they helped nurture and continuing the cycle of love by pouring into others as well. We may not always realize it, but their prayers have covered us in ways we’ll never fully understand. Their guidance has helped us grow in ways we couldn’t have done alone. So take a moment to appreciate them. Thank them. Pray for them. Because their role in your life is not by accident—it’s part of God’s beautiful design to help you grow stronger in faith. To every spiritual mother and mentor—thank you for your love, your guidance, and your unwavering faith. You are deeply appreciated and truly a blessing.
