Question: In the settings menu if I have "Automatically push updated planners to your reMarkable" set for every 6 hours, what has to be true for this to happen? For example, I'm assuming CalSync has to be running on my desktop. Does the table have to be awake? Does it regenerate first and then push?
Issues with sync on reMarkable Pro
I'm posting this mainly as an FYI though if there is an answer at your end that would be great. Because version 1.4 does not required developer mode to be enabled, I used the recovery process as outlined on the reMarkable support page to basically reset to factory settings. Since then, I have not been able to sync anything. I get a "failed to upload root schema" error message. reMarkable support has said this was caused by third party software and they cannot do anything to fix it.

@Jason Smith I did the "hold the power button for 30 sec" and then a short press. I chose the option to restore to factory settings. Once I did that, I deleted everything including the eInkPads folder because I was getting the sync error. My plan was to restore the files one by one. But, even with nothing on the tablet, it would not sync. So, when I posted here earlier, when I turned developer mode back on, the sync would work and the eInkPads folder reappeared with no planners. So, I went to CalSynce and pushed my planner with Cloud Sync on. That sync created another eInkPads folder with the Planner in it. So, now 2 directories but only one is getting the planner. Not sure if that initial eInkPads folder was part of the schema change or not. Wonder if I can delete it and still sync? I'm guessing I could. But then not sure if I can take it back out of developer mode and still sync. And not sure that it matters if I just it in developer mode 😂

Update: I have everything working now as it should. I believe it's probably a "do the steps in this order" thing. When I first started 1.4 I pulled it out of developer mode before I cloud synced. Last evening, I put back into developer mode; cloud synced; then deleted the eInkPads folder from my tablet; cloud synced; then did recovery to disable developer mode and chose restore; everything seems fine
Deleting an instance of a recurring event (Google)
When I delete an instance of a recurring event, the event still showing. Is this expected behavior?

Well... then maybe it happened a few versions back. It was working. But I haven't had that scenario in about a week or so.

@Jason Smith So, if I move an occurrence of a recurring event, the planner updates correctly. If I delete an instance of a recurring event, the planner doesn't recognize that.

I posted this comment in the wrong thread...FYI: v.33 appears to have gone backwards with deleting an occurrence of a recurring event. I had one scheduled for today that I removed this morning. It's still showing up on my regenerated planner.
