YouTube Shorts Experiment Update 🔥
Finally, profit! :) Start: 49 days ago with a pre-monetized channel from my last experiment where I grew the channel to 1k subscribers within 21 days. Expenses last 49 days: $1,231 USD including editing + performance bonuses (only outsourcing to 1 editor) Revenue last 49 days: $2,479 Profit as of today: $1,248 The first 47 days I was losing money consistently - now I reached the break-even point, and moving forward the channel is just going to be come more and more profitable (assuming videos keep regularly blowing up) This (sadly) is still absolutely irrelevant in terms of learnings that can be applied to business/educational channels. So do I recommend this? Not really. It's basically a whole different business model from what we usually do in this group :)

So basically you grew the channel to 1k so that you could enter the "make money" qualification, then from there, all that money was generated just off people watching your shorts?

@Benjamin Ewert I know I'm not eating my efforts in the content I build for my channel, because people may come back to it at some point after discovering my channel in the future, but what night be some helpful tips for getting to that 1k mark? Perhaps in this community you could provide a post where people could reach post a link to their YouTube channel and everyone subscribe to one another to help each other out? If you've already done that, I apologize for missing it.

I jumped on this opportunity as well! I joined Skool last fall to support a friend's community and fell in love with the platform, joining several communities and connecting with so many amazing people, learning such valuable information. But my business is still in it's infancy and not generating any revenue, so I couldn't justify the $99/month. But I can totally invest in my business for $9/month, and I'm so excited for the subscription tier options to roll out so I can expand and provide 1:1 and group coaching.

Hi I'm __ from __ My content is about ___ (or will be about) The goal of my content is to ___ - (links) 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋 The goal of everyone here is to create great YouTube content. 50% of you create content to grow an audience, 50% of you create content to nurture & convert their existing audience (there was a poll on this) With my channel I also want to grow an audience, and with the content I help my clients create it's mostly to nurture - so we'll just cover both in here :) 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐎 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐄 To create great content it's about small, gradual improvements every single upload. At least that's my favorite way of going about it. Too big changes can lead to overwhelm (or stagnation after making those changes) So to do this, please post your new videos in the video feedback section to get help from others on how you can improve the next upload 𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 Drop them in here :) 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓 - Creating your channel checklist - Video Ideation + Script template - The most important tools for YouTube - How to come up with unlimited video ideas - You need to use this intro formula

Hello! I'm Melissa from Michigan, USA My content is heated towards helping people discover their authentic human blueprint and purpose in life, and to have thriving relationships as a part of this. I have a holistic approach to this, which also incorporates physical and mental wellness aspects. So my videos and other content focuses on these various aspects and provides examples and engaging discussions. The goal of my content is to provide a surface level education, snippets from my courses, which provide benefit independently, but also encourages people to enroll in the full course to get all the tools. I eventually want to also provide 1:1 and group coaching.
