Shallows Live #1 — Egyptian Revival, applied
On Monday's TikTok we completed Style #001 — Egyptian Revival. Tomorrow (Saturday) at 10am CT inside Skool, we put it to work. Bring your favourite piece from the TikTok or from Lesson #001 in Collection 1. We'll take that one style and apply it three ways — a hero print, a long-and-narrow piece, and a repeating pattern — so you leave with art that's ready to use, not just art in a folder. Missed the TikTok? No problem: bring the lesson prompt you liked best, or start with the teapot when you arrive.

@Khadizah Saavedra I understand. Would there be a better time on the Saturdays? We are going to talk timing tomorrow. I will send you the pdfs.

Tuesday Tips
You don't always need to create more artwork. Sometimes you need to discover what the artwork you already love can become. This week's challenge: Choose one piece of artwork you've created and use ChatGPT to explore five ways to turn it into something useful, beautiful, or sellable. Copy and paste this prompt: "Act as a creative product development strategist. I have a piece of artwork that I love, and I want to explore its potential. I'll upload my image for you to analyze. Based on the actual artwork, suggest five different physical or digital products that would complement its composition, colors, and style. For each product, tell me: 1. Why this artwork would work on that product. 2. Whether the artwork needs resizing, repositioning, or a different layout. 3. Who would be most likely to appreciate or purchase it. 4. One creative way to make the finished product feel special. 5. One potential printing or production challenge I should consider. Prioritize realistic products that a small creative business could make using print-on-demand or digital downloads. Do not change my original artwork or suggest products that require completely new designs. Finish by recommending the easiest product to create first and giving me three simple steps to get started." Your Tuesday Takeaway: One beautiful image can have more possibilities than you realize. Before creating something new, explore what you already have. Your challenge: Try the prompt with one of your favorite images. Come back and tell us which product idea surprised you most! I'd love to see what you discover.

Here is mine: My recommendation: Start with digital wall art ORIGINAL ARTWORK 5:4 ratio Sea Monsters Bestiary, Medieval Cartography Illustration, Vintage Nautical Print - Etsy Ireland Your uploaded image measures 1200 × 960 pixels. The image above is a thematic reference, not your original file. Your original file is large enough for a 4 × 3.2-inch print at 300 DPI, but not yet suitable for high-resolution 8 × 10-inch wall art. Before offering larger prints, prepare an upscaled version and inspect the fine details. Three steps to make it product-ready 1. Prepare the artwork. Upscale the original and inspect the ship rigging, compass markings, tentacles, and fine map lines for distortions. 2. Build the printable file. Use an 8 × 10-inch canvas with a matching dark border to preserve the original 5:4 composition without cropping. 3. Create the listing. Show the actual artwork in a realistic framed-wall mockup and clearly state the included dimensions and digital-download format.

@Khadizah Saavedra She is beautiful. So do you think you will do one of them? You could start with a free 8 x 10 from walgreens. If you are on their mailing list I just got an email that discount ends tonight but its free.
House rules — the short version
Welcome in! Two little rules keep this a soft place to land: 1. No promoting your own products, groups, or links without asking Mel first. 2. Be kind — we're all learning out loud here. That's it. Post your art, ask your questions, and make yourself at home.
