🛑 Stop Doing Everything.
One of the biggest traps in school leadership is feeling like you have to handle everything that lands on your desk. Emails. Meetings. Student issues. Staff questions. Paperwork. Planning. Before you know it, the day is full… but the work that actually moves your school forward gets pushed aside. In the newest episode of Empowered Educator, I’m sharing the systems I use to prioritize my time as a leader. We’re talking about: ✔ The Eisenhower Matrix ✔ My rule: Delay, Delete, or Delegate ✔ Color-coded calendar systems ✔ Big, Middle, and Small Rocks for the day and week ✔ Tier 1, 2, and 3 priorities for the year This episode is professional development on the go for school leaders who want practical systems that bring clarity to a very busy role. 🎧 Listen now: Stop Doing Everything: Task Prioritization for School Leaders https://lnkd.in/duEEKTsu

@Jill Nobles so true! I think it is a mindset that is ingrained deeply in educators. Because we are teachers, we should know and do everything.
Happy Easter
Hope you all are able to enjoy a wonderful day with your families. On this Resurrection Sunday, you’re reminded that God doesn’t measure your leadership by perfection, but by the posture of your heart. Proverbs 28:6 calls you back to integrity—because walking upright with Him, even through challenges, is far greater than any outward success without Him. Today, you lead from a place of resurrection power—grounded in truth, covered in grace, and committed to doing what’s right, no matter the cost.

I use a color coded calendar to keep my day, week, and month prioritized. I schedule in my own leadership growth as well.
Did you know…
Most “traditional” PD (think: sit-and-get, one-and-done workshops) shows little impact on classroom practice or student learning—even when teachers rate it as “good.” What actually moves the needle? Professional learning that is: - Focused on specific content and instructional practices - Job-embedded in real classroom work - Active (teachers practicing, analyzing, and designing) - Supported with coaching and feedback - Sustained over time—not a single event If your PD doesn’t check those boxes, you don’t have professional learning yet…you have a meeting. Remember to go the extra MILE to Motive, Inspire, Lead, and Empower.
