First Intro Call
Hello everyone! Thank you for joining our Quant study group. I'm excited for us to all make some money together. Our first call is going to be FRIDAY January 9th at 6pm EST. I figure we can intro what we are working on and interested in and see if there are opportunities for us to break into groups and work together. From there we can discuss what times we want to meet and how we want to operate. Absolute beginner
Hey everyone, I’m completely new to algorithmic trading and trying to figure out how to start. Is there a course you’d recommend, or one you personally learned from and thought was solid? I have some experience with coding (not a ton), I’m pretty decent at math, and I’m just looking for a good starting point. Thanks.

Hey man, I’m the same as you. Just made myself a road map with what I understood. Im looking into data science first before machine learning to get better understanding. I would advise using LLM to highlight areas you want to learn and create road map for u. I personally like finding books available on the internet and use them.

What are y'all working on? Here's my strategy:
I am developing a simple strategy that boils down to: When markets are good be in TQQQ, when markets are bad be in cash ( money market ) It's based on technical indicators. When price crosses over 10ema, 20ema, and 50sma buy signal, when it 10 crosses below 20 sell signal. I'm working on deploying it to aws, i've got data from alphavantage and the only thing left to do it execute orders via api. What are your strategies?

Very green here, It became passion area after my recent start-up project with a friend, where I recently looked into resources and books. I know python and R studio currently. My current road map is Data Science with python then start looking into more advanced material.
