When I started the course, I was super excited, and then I felt a little bummed out after learning about Bento because I literally was not in the financial position to pay for it. But I decided to do all that I can, instead of copping out. I signed up for the free plan with Bento and send out 20 pitches. I literally had zero dollars, well $0.93 in my account, so I knew that if I wanted to be serious about this UGC journey, I’d have to put in a little bit of work. So my plan has been to purchase a bento subscription after securing my first UGC deal. 1️⃣After taking in some information from this community, the first thing I decided to try was pitching on Reddit, and it’s been very helpful. I didn’t have a Reddit account so I made one and I have secured 3 client meetings through Reddit within the past three days. So I wanted to share the Reddit communities that I’ve been sourcing from: ~https://www.reddit.com/r/ugc/s/oNyIyukBb1 ~https://www.reddit.com/r/UGCForBrands/s/6NHGUwLzsD ~https://www.reddit.com/r/techugc/s/iQluStp4OI 2️⃣ I also tested out some platforms; I didn’t have a portfolio at all before starting this course and so far, I have a bare-bones portfolio after a couple of days and decided to give a few platforms to try. Here are two that have been super helpful and are a great way to build your portfolio and polish your communication skills with brands: ~Sideshift App (can secure UGC VERY fast starting brand new) ~JoinBrands App 👀 Curious to know if you guys are planning to try any of these out? And if you’ve already tried them out, what are some things you’ve learned or tips you can share? 🙏
