Nice practices!!! For the beginning of drawing anatomy, I'd try to simply copy some references first. So that you learn it by heart just by doing. At the start it might be difficult to do it just from memory
So here's my ugly ass cube. Idk what I'm doing or how to achieve the reference. Took me more than 30 minutes just to achieve this bs. Brb while I go cry.
Don't beat yourself up pls!!! It is a journey. I had almost an equivalent talk to my father in law yesterday about feeling bad with my practice results and that I often feel about wasting my time ("I spend ... for this ugly result".) No matter at what point of experience you are. We all have these feelings from time to time! What helped me was the answer of my father in law, who knows many successful artists (painters and sculptors). He said: "Well, my friend told me he sometimes had to try something new like 50x and he found it ugly. But the 51th was a success then! So you should not bother about the 50x you failed, because these were neccessary to produce the final piece of art!" He also said (he is mainly a writer): "You should read some poems of Goethe. He was a big writer, but many of his poems read themselfs like you could put them into childrens poem books 🤣" And it is true!!!! These small exercises, they are so crucial! And also the famous guys did these!!!
