Day 1/40: Dream Recall Beginnings + Free Writing
This morning marked the start of our 40-day Challenge. It's time to dive in! The first practice is simple, but essential. Even though it's already late in the day, you can still do this practice right now, or start with Day 0 (in the previous post) and come back to this one for tomorrow morning: 👉 Retrace any fragment of your dreams upon waking. Even if it's just a trace of a feeling, colour or shape. 👉 Then free-write on the prompt: “What has called me into this challenge?” Here’s why this matters. Most of us wake up and jump right into the day. Within seconds, our dreams, and the parts of ourselves that live in that space, dissolve. When we do that, we’re reinforcing a message to our brain and body that dreams aren’t important, and we lose access to that rich inner world. This practice begins to shift that. ✨ Dream recall is a muscle. The more you pay attention to your dreams, the more they begin to stay with you, in detail, in feeling. Even if you don’t remember anything at first, the act of staying still (not moving much, to the best of your ability) in the morning, and writing down whatever is there starts to rewire your recall over time. ✨ The free write deepens your commitment. Asking “What has called me into this challenge?” brings awareness to your deeper motivation. Are you seeking clarity? Intuition? Self-trust? Creativity? This isn't just a 40-day habit, it's a conscious shift in how you relate to yourself at night. The dream world opens to those who return to it again and again. Today is the first return. I would love to hear in the comments: What called you into exploring yourself in this way?

I personally would love to gain more patience and compassion with myself through this practice. The challenge helps me to say this out loud ( so to speak) in front of a likeminded group. I am dealing with anxiety and pressure in my life for some months now, so better sleep and a healthy relationship to my dreamworld is a priority. 💞Thank you for this space!

I am delighted to welcome you into this space that grows each week with new content on sleep health, embodiment, and dreamwork ✨ Make your first steps by introducing yourself with a short story on your relationship to: 1. Sleep 2. Dreams How well do you sleep? Do you wish to sleep better? How often do you remember your dreams? What is their usual "flavour"? (Mine are oddly and boringly logistical often!) In the "Calendar" tab, you will find the upcoming events I host for this community. In the "Classroom" tab you will find a selection of self-paced courses, some free, some paid. And under "Community", you will find a series of topics we speak about weekly. Don't hesitate to reach out, especially if you would like more personalized support! - Maša

Hi everyone and congrats Maša for this Platform and great community! Since my early childhood I have Had a powerful and detailed dreamlife. I have struggled with nightmares for 4 decades and changed my relationship with them through our mutual lucid dreaming and shadow work training for the better. Very much looking forward to practice and learn together with all of you. 🪅 Melanie
