Hi, I’m Mel! Thanks for letting me hang around. :) I’ve been selling vintage and antique clothing for 20+ years- 4 years on WN, mostly in Y2K- but just now dipping my toe into jewelry. I scheduled some shows, but I’m feeling a bit nervous - like I’ve been cramming for a giant test for the past month. (It’s weird having to basically start over with something that involves a lot of technical expertise, which I obviously don’t have.) I bought some start-up tools- presidium pen, acid kit, etc.- but things might be a bit messy for a while as I find my footing. Any amazing advice for someone doing their first show in the category under these circumstances? I’d love to not faceplant (although if I do it wouldn’t be the first time). 😂🙏

Other than here, are there any really good online forums you guys turn to if you’re really stumped by a piece? I’m in a a public group on FB, but it seems like there’s so much bad info and the vibes are a bit sketch at times. (Maybe that’s all FB groups, tbh. 😂)
