Wow, it's been a rough couple of weeks and thank goodness for DOGS!!! I'm sorry I missed this weeks Community Call but I'll t the next one and ready to get back into regularly checking in with our group.

I've been working with the same Bully Breed rescue for 20 years. A month ago they took in an mumma dog with the worst imbedded collar I have ever seen and her 3 week old puppies. This wasn't the best time for us to take in a foster but, puppy breath and antics are very distracting!! He's at least made us smile this week when it has been difficult. Meet Father Dougal McGuire (from the show Father Ted) Dougal for short. He's houndy, not bully but still cute AF!

I debated posting this because I didn't want to be a downer but after watching my dogs this morning I wanted to share this and I hope you all can find the magic in it like I do and see past the sadness. Last night I got the news that a friend had ended his life. As I was being told, Declan came into the room and sat quietly beside me. Then when Jason came downstairs and I had to tell him, Declan left me and went to Jason. This morning everyone is just quiet and peaceful, no playing, no antics; just settling in whatever room I'm in as I go about my morning, lost in my own head. They don't know why but they know I need the quiet; they truly are magical creatures.

Nothing makes me happier than the unbridled joy of a hot dog digging in a water trough 💦 My pony is less than impressed tho 😆

One of my dogs favourite jobs is rodent control. Every night we patrol the hen house for rodent activity. Tonight we got 5 rats in about 8 minutes. Love watching my dogs do their thing and then seeing their satisfied little faces afterwards. Happy to post video if people would like to see them in action. Diva pretty much tunnelled like a mole to get to the nest 🔥✨️
